1. Please introduce yourself
<Gerrardfo> I hail from the U.S.A., but on here I go by Gerrardfo, the league’s coverage director.

2. When did you start playing magic? On the league?
<Gerrardfo> A friend taught me how to play magic around Onslaught and I joined up on the league in late 2004. I started playing more often and consistently during the summer of 2005, though before then I just idled and had work to do in real life. In late 2005 I started doing coverage, in November I was given the title of editor, and in February I gained the status of coverage director.

3. What do you like about magic?
<Gerrardfo> I enjoy having fun with decks that have the potential to be very good, as well as the ability to change to a different playing style and deck. While playing magic I want to be aggressive because it reflects my poker philosophy, so I’m often quick in movement and decision. I guess that magic complements my poker experience.

4. What do you do on the site?
<Gerrardfo> I write coverage, interview people for profiles (done on my decision/Koen’s word with the clamor of private messages from the masses), and edit articles and format them for publishing on the site. I also host the occasional mini, massive amounts of trials, and a master every once in a while. I post news items, grade tests, title decks for front-page viewing, handle some protests, and try to set the calendar for upcoming trials. Oh, and I take care of a few issues on the forums whenever they come up.

5. What do you like most about the league?
<Gerrardfo> It’s free; I can play as much as I want when I want, and the people I meet are usually awesome. The experiences fill up my day and make it worth it in the long run. As well, the staff members are quite friendly and efficient in their work, so I know all pending issues will be solved in time.

6. If you could do one thing to change the league, what would it be?
<Gerrardfo> I would promote niknight to j3 as a starting point (<3). Other than that, I know of all the projects in development at the moment, so nothing comes to mind that hasn’t already been made. I’d love a second-place prize for the article contest or a coverage team that actually writes, but I can live without those things.

7. Are there any league players you consider tough opponents?
<Gerrardfo> Pollo usually gets the nuts against me, as does Stryfe- whenever he pays attention. One time I played MW|Core in OnBC and he trounced me while he was in a poker game at the same time! I think pg was also a tough guy to beat when I faced him, and Shyft was when I got lucky against him. Streakz also tends to just be in an entirely different league whenever I shuffle up against him. Kebe also taught me a bit of magic, so he’s pretty good.

8. What is currently your favorite format?
<Gerrardfo> Either Legacy (T1.5) because people are always innovating decks that I’m quite fond of or Standard (T2) because I can always find something cool to play.

9. Which league player(s) would you like to meet in real life?
<Gerrardfo> I’ve already met dboy1, kebe, meloku79, Draco2156, and Jenneke, so that would leave a huge list of people. For non-judges, Dragon_Lady, Pyroniak and Ashlie, dv8r, MW|Core, Thalai, ownj00, Kalegozer and snoopster. For regular judges, Pollo, Stryfe-, Streakz and PV. Then I’d obviously meet all of the j2s and staff members.

10. Do you have anything else to add?
<Gerrardfo> I can’t wait to see the site in a year or two, the staff really has some great ideas in the works. Overall, Koen does a great job for the league, so kudos to him for organizing a brilliant staff roster of capable people who get the job done.
