I've made a software which offers visual viewing for the log files of MWS. Nothing too fancy though, but it is better than just reading files. It's a separate windows program, and you see the cards in play, in hand etc as lists.

Some instructions:

"New" opens a window, where you can paste the log from clipboard (for example if you are copying the log from the plain text view of league's log viewer).

"Load" shows a browser view, where you can choose and open a log file. Alternately you can just drag the log-file on top of the program.

"Save" and "Save as" lets you save the current log, for example if you made the log through "New", or did some changes to the log (more later).

After you have the log loaded, you can start viewing by pressing "Play", or, you can just click anywhere in the log bottom right, and you get the view of that line. "Stop" returns the view to the beginning.

It should be noted though, that the view might not always be 100% accurate. For example there's one tapped Plains and one untapped Plains, and in the log there is a text: "Caith puts Plains into graveyard from play". The program puts one plains to the graveyard, but it might be either one.

Flipping cards in play is not supported. If card is flipped facedown on the battlefield, there's no way of knowing which card in play was flipped. This may be a problem if a player Cascades, and flips the cards facedown on the play before putting them bottom. However, one can "Eliminate" cards in play, by clicking one of the card that shouldn't be in play, then going to the "Edit" in the menu, choose "Eliminate card" from the chosen player. This also adds line to the log, and one can save it afterwards.

The MWS Log Player should be quite useful when making coverage for masters, or just to view some cool match a friend wants to show you. Anyways, have fun with the program.

MWS Log Player

- Caith

(I may improve the program in the future, like getting it show image of cards instead of just list of cards)

This is really creative and cool.
Hopefully soon you can make support for a visual display using the MWS background and actual images. It would be very useful for coverage, allowing us to actual re-play the games and comment as spectators instead of writing long tedious reports.
I hope you continue with this program.

That is one cool piece of software. Thank you!

The only thing that it lacks is the thing MWS logs lack as well - the ability to see what's in a players hand. This makes it almost impossible to analyze plays Sad

There's a prob with the cards that enter the battlefield tapped and generaly with the Word "Put" the program doesn't recognize the "Put" and even if you try to change the log's text from "Put" to "Play" Whitch the program recognize, if the permanent is gonna come into play tapped, it shows the permanent as "[Permanent] into play tapped" instead of "[Permanent] [TAP]" whitch should be in.

So if you try to put something like Savage Lands and you have a patch that puts these stuff into play tapped you won't be able to see nothing more other than lands that come into play untapped.

But generaly is an awesome work and I hope that you are going to work with it and I'm sure that it's gonna come in handy for match inverstigations.
