// Lands
4 [ZEN] Oran-Rief, the Vastwood
8 [ZEN] Plains (5)
4 [WWK] Sejiri Steppe
7 [M10] Forest (1)
1 [ZEN] Plains (1)

// Creatures
4 [ZEN] Oran-Rief Survivalist
4 [WWK] Hada Freeblade
4 [ZEN] Kazandu Blademaster
4 [WWK] Talus Paladin
4 [ZEN] Turntimber Ranger

// Spells
4 [WWK] Join the Ranks
4 [ALA] Angelsong
4 [CFX] Path to Exile
4 [ZEN] Harrow

So far the deck has been working out very well. It's consistent, its fast and has more bodies than most have removal spells for. The angelsong is great in aggro matchups, and tends to be completely unexpected, and if you are playing against control where its not useful, you can cycle it first game before boarding it out. Join the Ranks is redonkulous with Turntimber Ranger, and Talus Paladin continues to be simply amazing.

Sejiri steppe is amazing. With a decently large ally in play, I can drop Talus, give it a bonus +1/+1, Life link and then dropp a Sejiri into play tapped and give it protection from whatever color creatures the opponent has.

I have played it a couple times now and it is playing relatively well, though I haven't had much chance to play it against the more top tier decks, such as jund, naya and bant, as everyone seams to be working on decks that are not of the top tier 1 variety. I guess we will find out more how it works after the release.

I'm building myself one of this.. But what about Kabira Evangel? That's awesome in this deck i'd say! Even more with Join The Ranks! Also nice for attacking! And 4 Turntimber seems to much, i'm thinking about adding Harabaz Druid to boost up Turntimber on turn 3! Also i'm still unsure wether or not to add Red to the combination!

Kazuul Warlord is pretty nice! Also sided Murasa Pyromancer, but that one seems too much.. I'm playing this deck without WWK, and with Jungle Shrine's and Ancient Ziggurat's.. With Bolt's and siding Wall of Denial too... Also Tajuruu Archer is pretty nice to kick some Baneslayer's asses! Smile

It's fun to play with, but with WWK will be better of course

Kabira sounds like it could be good. 4 turntimber is too much... thanks for the points guys. I really like angelsong because of the cycling factor. If I have safe passage main, and come across a control deck that barely swings then I have a dead card in my deck. Where as with angelsong, I can at least cycle it in that situation.

However, vines of vastwood is an amazing card. I will definitely consider that one. The white Kird ape is amazing, but it destroys the tempo of the deck.

So after skyping with a friend that I am building this with, we decided to splash some blue and throw in knight. Here is the main deck list now.

// Lands

// Lands
3 [ZEN] Oran-Rief, the Vastwood
3 [ZEN] Plains (5)
3 [M10] Forest (1)
3 [WWK] Celestial Colonnade
2 [WWK] Stirring Brush
4 [ZEN] Misty Rainforest
2 [M10] Sunpetal Grove
2 [M10] Glacial Fortress
2 [P3] Island (2)

// Creatures
3 [ZEN] Oran-Rief Survivalist
3 [WWK] Hada Freeblade
3 [ZEN] Kazandu Blademaster
3 [WWK] Talus Paladin
3 [ZEN] Turntimber Ranger
3 [CFX] Knight of the Reliquary
3 [CFX] Noble Hierarch

// Spells
3 [WWK] Join the Ranks
4 [CFX] Path to Exile
2 [A] Fog
3 [MOR] Negate
3 [M10] Ponder

The Negate helps for spells that would otherwise kill me and the ponder is fixing and cantrip. Both great additions. Decided to go with two fogs rather than the 4 angelsongs and cut some allies to throw in Knight. Haven't tested it yet.

You know you're doing something wrong when your numbers are 3,3,3,3,3, etc.

You are so very very right. I tried it and it just fell apart. I'm going back to the old list and working from there again.
