Metalworker - Staff of Domination

// Lands
4 [EX] City of Traitors
4 [TE] Ancient Tomb
4 [TE] Wasteland
4 [MI] Crystal Vein
4 [MM] Saprazzan Skerry

// Creatures
4 [UD] Metalworker

// Spells
4 [DS] Trinisphere
4 [NE] Tangle Wire
4 [MR] Chalice of the Void
4 [10E] Crucible of Worlds
4 [SH] Mox Diamond
4 [TE] Lotus Petal
4 [FD] Staff of Domination
4 [US] Stroke of Genius
4 [AQ] Transmute Artifact (Replaces Tinker!)

This deck's combo can potentially go off on turn 2.

Combo: Metalworker + Staff of Domination in play... reveal 6 artifact from Metalworker for infinite mana / life, draw cards till u get stroke of genius.

It doesn't matter if they counter or misdirection Stroke of Genius becuz in resp u can just draw more cards and cast another Stroke of Genius... this is the reason why I play Stroke over Banefire.

Also Stroke is a great card if u don't have ur combo, u can still play it to draw alot of cards.

Transmute Artifact is the new Tinker. Its perfect for this deck because the artifact I get with it (Metalworker or Staff of Domination) only cost 3 mana.

I made this deck rather quickly so I need help to tweak maindeck + make a decent sb.

The problem is if you don't draw metalworker of he gets countered/destroyed you're just playing a bad stacks list.

Biggest Problems:
Inconsistantcy/Inferiority to Ad nauseum combo
Pithing needle on Staff of Domonation is pretty much gg with little outs
Not enough artifacts in hand to go off most times

Also Tangle wire is so bad... i tried this deck as well

Run Serum Powder and street wraith to up consistancy, possibly you could run scroll rack or top to dig deep.

Run Darksteel Citideal to ensure you have enough artifacts in hand, and cut cards like transmute artifact, which are too cute.

I have to agree with Xanthophobia about the problems your deck faces. If you were to play combo there isn't much reason not to play an already tier combo deck such as ANT. but if your looking for a Stax deck there is a very nice mono white stacks floating around online if your interested in a list PM (goes for anyone)
