What a diverse format. Thank god they stuck GP block constructed way out on the West Coast where I would never travel for a GP anyways.

I think Wizards accidentally the format.

by styx^ on 2012-02-15 06:39 CET

retarded format is retarded

by ChristPunchr on 2012-02-15 12:22 CET

The only really fun block constructed formats were Rempest, Saga, OG Mirrodin, and Ravnica. Creature formats are lame in general, so the last few years of block have emphasized this. Welcome back to earth.

Brrr..aaaains?

*yawn*Ban Sorin*yawn*

by Kabelis on 2012-02-15 14:51 CET

Sorin isn't even that good. Intangible virtue is by far the best card in the deck.

by darkwizard42 on 2012-02-15 14:54 CET

With the amount of enchantment hate out there, its obviously hard for any control deck to win, as their only strong tools against tokens are cards like Sever the Bloodline and Curse of Death's Hold. With Hold being the only reliable permanent effect. Of course Ray of Revelation, Naturalize, and Silverchase fox are all easily on color for tokens =/

by pseudodespot on 2012-02-15 15:42 CET

I know that Sorin is by far not the most important card in the deck, but the repeat wins of tokens are boring as hell. So why not bore with comments as well?

It seems that effective massremoval was deemed unfun by wizards and therefore replaced with nonsense like rolling tremblor and divine Reckoning.
Yes, Scars had a bit too many massremoval spells, but to cut all of them seems like a bad joke to me.

Congratz to the zombies making it that far.

by cloysterd on 2012-02-15 17:55 CET

@pseudodespot - The problem is that with 2 planeswalkers and the flashback on Lingering Souls, mass removal doesn't really stop that deck.

by tchiseen on 2012-02-15 22:25 CET

Yeah this format is real
