by XZERO on 2011-04-22 23:19 CET
btw in game 1 against jund he played blightning twice as well, didnt get mana leak, and Im the lucky one... lol I played everything perfectly to survive and I said I got lucky because I draw blue sun zenith countering a lightning bolt targeting pili pala with CCommand, in resp to architect and got 1 land in hand with nothing else... and mill him xD I was in 5 life he was at 15 because of fetch + thoughtseize

LOL go go Trygon Predator !
by derflippi on 2011-04-23 01:48 CET
Trygon Predator is good against Equipment, Faeries and Prismatic Omen. What do you want more ? :)
by Dr_Nico on 2011-04-23 02:22 CET
trygon predator is tech
by Burton911 on 2011-04-23 02:41 CET
@Flippi: not to mention Pili Pala ;)
by on 2011-04-23 04:13 CET
Guys correct me if I'm REALLY WRONG, but trygon predator isn't extended legal at all. who ever was playing him was really off base that is a RAVNICA BLOCK CARD! So, um, yeah seams like a big WTF?!
by aqualad33 on 2011-04-23 04:35 CET
sigh...they were being sarcastic, flippi made a mistake putting it into his list. trygon predator would have been an excellent answer to all the powerhouse artifacts and enchantments (just look at some of the legacy decks). Unfortunately, it's not legal.

Why not banefire in the pili-pala deck? seems a better option than zenith as its uncountable, multiples have more application, for killing dorks etc?
by XZERO on 2011-04-23 17:27 CET
well manfredbyron, when I first built the deck it was the same sameee list kromos used b4 in a trial he took my list from a mini and used it the same way it was 24 lands: no mutavault, no expanses, 12 islands, 2 mountain, 4 scalding tarn, 4 cascade bluff, 2 mistyrainforest, 1 bluesun zenith, 1 banefire, 1 emrakul, 1 time reversal, but after alot of playtesting I noticed that when ppl hating artifacts or creatures in sb u cant kill with a banefire for 6 (X) but yes u can draw 4 cards with blue sun zenith in late game and is a good answer, will give u good card mayb a sb card for sure, the same with time reversal. And the last change I made to this deck was -1 island + 1 se beyond because it has 4 ponder 4 preordain and sometimes u get flooded so to avoid this I decided to take the risk and play with 23 lands and did very well (also Im always updating the sb) but try to kp spell pierce, fallouts and vend clique)
by XZERO on 2011-04-23 17:30 CET
and btw 4 example if u r playing with faes and he played bitterblossom and got 2 tokens in play, u cannot kill him in turn 3 because he can just block pili pala with 2 tokens and kill it (banefire=sorcery), but with blue sun's zenith(instant) he can try to kill it, but he will die before pili pala can get any dmg xD
by XZERO on 2011-04-23 17:36 CET
and counters! u can also play mana leak or cryptic with infinite mana, don't you think so?'
by turdferguson on 2011-04-23 19:47 CET
why would u need to attack with pili pala to get the combo going? lol u tap it with arhitect and go off dont need to attack to tap it to go off
