so close:(

by Duodax on 2011-03-05 20:53 CET

why sword and jace in faes? they are (highpriced) sorceries AFAIK. Therefore I see the pilot as a donk plus the donks who could not crush this crappy fae list. hooray. at least 1st crushed the donk.
really good list, fallout propably needed maindeck...

by ik on 2011-03-05 21:00 CET

The sagely Duodax has spoken. Oh great Duodax, please teach us to break the lotto propability just like yourself!

by Darkseed on 2011-03-05 21:04 CET

wow, ik is reaally angry for losing...

ME VALE PISTOLA!!!, Bien hecho Tecktonic!

by ik on 2011-03-05 21:19 CET

For losing to a fucking idiot*

by Tao on 2011-03-05 21:22 CET

Duodax is so smart, how can I be a pro like him?

by Duodax on 2011-03-05 21:23 CET

I raped MtG to heavily to break any lotto propabilities nowadays. I am very sorry for this and therefore truly seek for forgivement. Sorry I made this game so luckbased and expensive. Anyway, I had to avenge for my bad beats and I took MtG as a fat and resistant scapegoat.

Deglamer make you look like a crippled victim when you play BB and the bad sword in faes.
Tectonic Edge must be more Sunken Ruins. Removal MD sux nowadays see 1st and 3rd pile.

MANA LEAK only 2x??? EPIC VICTIM sick I oversaw this when I commented the 1st time...

by jfc on 2011-03-05 21:24 CET

hawt, gj ik, thats a good faes list :)

by jfc on 2011-03-05 21:29 CET

duodax, youre wrong. totally, why does faeries need more than 2/3 mana leaks? the list is good, 5 removal, 5 discard, 2 mana leak, seems perfect numbers, and you really need tectonic edges for lots of match ups lol, lern2think duodax ^.^

by Terri on 2011-03-05 21:35 CET

I must agree with IK he was not able to use his ascension correctly. we went to judges and he still didnt want to get it how it works after the judge told him multiple times. One thing i would suggest is to forbid participating on 2 tourneys at the same time that slows the game down.

by J_R on 2011-03-05 21:51 CET

sad how ppl respond to duodaxs trolling lol

by falcolink on 2011-03-05 21:58 CET

great a mexican guy win 1 place arriba mexico!!! espero estar en los tops 4 muy pronto....!!

congratulations tecktonicboy !!

by Duodax on 2011-03-05 22:06 CET

I do not troll. Troll exist only in the minds of stubborn people and in fairytales like HarryPotter and in fantasy games like MtG.

You are donks regarding deckbuilding and what I have to look at every day over and over...

by J_R on 2011-03-05 22:16 CET

by Tao on 2011-03-05 22:34 CET

"Troll exist only in the minds of stubborn people and in fairytales"

Trolling = the matrix

by Mod_Counter on 2011-03-06 01:12 CET

Must be nice to be you Ilja...

2 Mana Leak is actually fine and swords + jace are very powerful.

Except for the Nighthawks in SB i think the list is very well designed.

by Duodax on 2011-03-06 01:52 CET

yeah. encourage the donks to play the bad and random fae list instead of mine. nais move, german :)

by Conkisstador on 2011-03-06 02:05 CET

Duodax: Not good enough at Poker or Magic.

by Duodax on 2011-03-06 02:35 CET

Conkisstador: Unlike me, not a victim of variance which governs Poker or Magic.

by Tidus- on 2011-03-06 02:44 CET

Both Games are very skill intensive and very much outway the variance you talk about retard

Sunken ruins is the worst possible land in the deck. Only a forest would be worse. Edges are needed for valakut and the mirror.

Removals are also needed. Saying "look at the other decks in the top3" is not really a valid sample. Though -1 disfigure +1 GftT is more like it.

Sword is perfect in this deck. Connect once and you can feel it. More Vendilions for info and to bear it are a must IMO.

And if that is not enough, literally all the pros that have a faeries list in their hand, do so in this fashion.

You are probably just trolling. In that case, gj, you got me.

by jfc on 2011-03-06 20:23 CET

duodax, go back to play yu-gi-oh! m/

by Duodax on 2011-03-07 02:44 CET

haha mtg is way to funny to quit it! donks like u keep it funny -> epic donkishness beyond infinity; you feed the donkgod

by moscowdemon on 2011-03-07 05:35 CET

hmm... i think roo and the banhammer should be strolling by soon

by on 2011-03-07 17:20 CET

@Duodax: Conkisstador is a good player btw. if you would look at his rating and/or his decklists you would see. sadly your strenght is to overread things.

and to the scd of Mana Leak: in fact Mana Leak is no great card, its a filler. But its a needed role-player in Aggro-Control for reasons of curve and to counter any threat mostly. Its upside is its flexibility. Its downside is that you cant counter with it in many cases and that your opp will predict mana leak, which means the right number in most decks is something between 2-3 and will change if the format changes badly, for example if a lot of uncounterable guys and/or guys you almost cant counter with mana leak see heavy play it would be dropped to 0 and if Jace, TMS would totally dominate the format and almost every deck plays 4 CC 4 Mana Leak will see play.

by Zapgaze on 2011-03-08 07:03 CET

Tharrr Duodax blows (at Magic)

Im glad people like the Faeries list, mainly because I designed it :D Cant say I like the Go For the Throat in the sideboard over the second Tectonic Edge, but if it worked for you and you didnt face too mana Valakut decks, so be it.

Re Nighthawks: Nighthawks are great at what they do, which is keep you alive vs Mono Red, either by connecting and gaining life or eating removal, and in that way, gaining life. Also, vs Elves, they can block profitably regardless of the size of your opponents creatures, and gain you life.

Re Leaks: You want no more or less than 6 two mana counterspells in the main deck. The list I won my PTQ with had 3 Sprites and 3 Leaks, but afterwards I felt like I would have rather had 4 Sprites and 2 Leaks because of the Swords in the deck.

Re Swords: This card is absolutely bonkers, it was exactly what Faeries needed to push it over the top, and its almost as good as Bitterblossom in the deck.

Re Sunken Ruins: This card is baaaaad when you draw multiples, and makes for some awkward draws with Tectonic Edges and Mutavaults. I would not play more than 2.

Re Disfigure: Being able to kill your opponents t1 mana creature or Goblin Guide, and still be able to play a turn 2 Bitterblossom without having to worry about a t2 Mirran Crusader or Lead the Stampede is pretty huge, and I think that gives Disfigure the edge over Go For the Throat in the main.

Good job ik <3 Now win your PTQ and lets room in Nagoya :D
