Guess that burn deck turned out to be pretty good then, Mr. Pepper?

by smiffymork on 2011-01-06 05:11 CET

What no Jund?

by Alandariel on 2011-01-06 05:39 CET

No green splash in burn for BBE? Hmm.

Zero mana denial in the top four seems pretty fail in this format.

by Bushviper on 2011-01-06 05:55 CET

Werem't you just complaining last night about mana denial being, and I quote, "A pile?" Now it seems you are in favor of it, hmm.

by Mad03 on 2011-01-06 06:22 CET

well i do like that naya list seems pretty consistent id change a couple things md biy i think i like it on a first glance

by Eldariel on 2011-01-06 09:18 CET

...this format has to be the worst format ever. Even worse than the last Standards. Which sorta makes sense since if you take two terrible standards and mash them together, the outcome is bound to be horrible...

by Tidus- on 2011-01-06 10:49 CET

Lol @ eldariel...... This format is diverse and skill intensive, whats not to love

by Lynolf on 2011-01-06 10:50 CET

I disagree with you. The Faeries Standard sucks, yes, but there's nothing wrong with the current standard. In fact, I think it's one of the best T2's we've had in awhile.

by Tidus- on 2011-01-06 10:58 CET

Also first place deck needs more ranger of eos

by Halldir on 2011-01-06 11:41 CET

lynolf: did u tried tempest/urzas type 2? THAT was a good standart:)

by gypsy on 2011-01-06 13:26 CET

this t2 is kinda meh, theres valakut, then theres jace decks and thats pretty much it, at least in faeries t2 there were a lot of different decks, i agree this extended is probably one of the worst extended formats ever

by huntergatsby on 2011-01-06 14:35 CET

at least extirpate is gone...

by Tao on 2011-01-06 16:21 CET

i like this extended. you have to work your ass off to stay competitive. that's all i care about.

by sgt_pepper on 2011-01-06 16:35 CET

Yeah turned out better than i expected, but my sb needs some serious work!

by warp_gaming on 2011-01-06 17:41 CET

nerf red plz

by [PMP]evil on 2011-01-06 18:55 CET

Yeah, I played the same 60 MD (from lsv's article since I haven't played recently) and it was sick. Played a couple test matches beforehand and then did alright in the trial, just losing to the mirror.

by P_P4E on 2011-01-06 19:35 CET

no gaddock teag in the naya is a clear error. Best card right now! Why play naya over jund using that outline? It's clearly worse.

Hellspark elemental sucks. People play wall of omens.

Hallowed Burial is sweet.

by InWaking on 2011-01-06 21:10 CET

I really like [-a-L-e-]s deck it's pretty rad though it does look kinda weak. Great idea I hope something comes out of it.

Ceryb I am curious to know if it was a good game you lost or if you just got stomped, I was wondering why no one has tried tokens yet.

by Asukafan2288 on 2011-01-07 08:22 CET

hi question on the naya build why no behemoth sleges why no woolly thootar why no ajani vengeant and why the md gss whould it be better to have Kitchen Finks md so you can casscade in to it then the gss if some one can awsser my questions it would be great seeing as i might run naya if it can be run good enff seeing as i likke zoo some time ago and seeing as theres no zoo in ext i thought it would not be abile to run those colors but if naya is possablie i might just run it my selft but i want to know why he was not useing any of those cards seeing as thay are very vey good cards..bye all

by [-a-L-e-] on 2011-01-07 12:59 CET

woah, thanks for have mentioned my deck XD.

I think the deck it's pretty solid 'cause of halimar depths: find a raven's crime in the first 10-11 cards it's probable, and anyway cast a t1 raven's crime it's almost impossible, so who cares: t1 halimar t2 filterland ub, double crime it's the "classic" start of the deck.

If anyone cares: after i've beated a scape omen and a faeries, I've lost to another faeries (i don't remember the nick of my opponent, sorry): in the g1 we are both with empty hands, he have creeping tar pit, island, swamp...i've creeping tar pit, fiterland ub, swamp, khalni garden, mutavault. He draw vendilion, i draw jace that goes immediatly on the bottom, then he draw mutavault and swing for six with vendilion+creeping, and the he draw mistbind. In the g3 the game was done when he tapped out for something (vendilion?) and i play treasure hunt: i've draw only another treasure hunt. I cast it immediatly and draw only two cards: a fetch and a cobra.

The sb was random (actually i'm trying: 4 great sable stag, 4 finks, 3 duress, 2 consume the meek, 2 memoricide), and i think the md needs more pulse (taking out the oracle of mul daya and maybe a jace)

by Brasi on 2011-01-07 14:52 CET

hi my naya list is special, it has no fauna ajani kitchen or reliquary on the base because it is specially aggro. cost 3 or more are 12 haste creatures 3 sable(can´t be countered) and 2 elspeth( u will always have 1 creature to give +3/+3) the worst part is side i am working on it.
ajani is worse than elspeth by far in this deck.

by Holysword on 2011-01-07 15:36 CET

the guy playin ravens crime should be playin river kelpie to strip and reload. I think the card is underrated. I know people will say there is path and o-ring, but come on that is card advatage late in a game.

by dolphinhugs on 2011-01-07 16:41 CET

I was baked and playing like a retard. :< I'm still debating on 4cc or tokens for the Columbus PTQ.

I think Hero of Bladehold will make an excellent addition to the token deck.

by InWaking on 2011-01-07 20:23 CET

River Kelpie is a great idea holysword ef the haters.
