Whats the point of submitting decks if it isn't checked for legality before the trial begins. check out Cityboy's deck that went 3-1

by gypsy on 2010-02-27 22:42 CET

cause its impossible to check for legality when you submit a deck.

by TheGODehT on 2010-02-27 22:58 CET

Needs moar runeflare trap.

by Lynolf on 2010-02-27 23:23 CET

Where's Jund? Is it gone?

Also, magic-league REALLY needs to do something to be able to check each deck's legality during each tournament.

DH > Magic-Leage < Akeldyma.

No one knows this, yet, but he and I were actually having cyber sex throughout this entire trial. Yes, he took 2nd, and had his cyber penis in me the entiiiiire time!

Perhaps ML should start banning those who blatantly cheat like that. 14 or 16 card sideboard is forgivable; A whole 'nother deck in the SB is not.

@gypsy, about the only thing that can be done is to look at the security code when MWSplay first connects to the opponent. If it says the deck is any other format besides the one you're playing, or says [???], that's a pretty good sign that the TC needs to be alerted.

by DH on 2010-02-28 02:56 CET

Well, nice SB in that deck. And I faced it. :S

And Akel, I enjoyed.

by gypsy on 2010-02-28 05:42 CET

even if you alert them if their sec code matches what they submitted theres nothing they can do about it, the tcs cant check decklists during the event

by DH on 2010-02-28 06:26 CET

a shoutout to my team!

by GoneBananas on 2010-02-28 16:00 CET

lolololol thats the best sideboard ever!

LOL@ Super

2nd Place deck's SB sucks, and I don't see how DH could've placed so high, he should have lost first round.

by JoshJ on 2010-02-28 19:03 CET

Requiring each player to do "show -> my sideboard to opponent" after the match would solve the problem, but might be more trouble than it's worth.

by gluedman on 2010-03-01 00:54 CET

lol, who cares if there are tons of awful cards in some dudes SB. I mean would you really be sad if he brought in the indestructibility?

by Malice on 2010-03-01 17:02 CET

Cityboy should setup a clinic on good sideboarding because that sideboard is literally the NUTZ!

by TugaChampion on 2010-03-03 09:37 CET

how is it possible that someone managed to top2 with valakut? The deck is so bad...
It gained Ricochet Trap for the sb. That's not something that makes an horrible deck at least not as horrible. I remember it being a bye even to eldrazi green.

Also lol at Ramp Naya.

by DH on 2010-03-03 16:35 CET

Key words: "I remember"

Times have changed.

by TugaChampion on 2010-03-03 17:56 CET

lol sure... valakut has almost 0 new cards and if eldrazi green could beat it most of the time just by pure speed imagine what boros, monored, jund and naya are capable against it.

by on 2010-03-03 19:26 CET

no KotR?
