by P_P4E on 2010-02-18 02:02 CET

wow... a couple hours before the trial i was tinkering around with a list very similar to 2nd place...Maindeck firewalker is ballsy. I think Steppe Lynx might be better than elite vanguard, although I'm not sure.

Kor sanctifiers? Really? Idk...

by ishocrone on 2010-02-18 02:03 CET

copied from magic the gathering almost the ww list and yes steppe lynx is good but depending on the meta as in the article firewalker might be a better choice due to the amount of red being played in jund and what not

by P_P4E on 2010-02-18 02:27 CET

uhm...firewalker and lynx fill different spots. I meant take out the 2/1 for W for lynx.

by Tuffy on 2010-02-18 02:38 CET

All three decks are crap......these are so funny

by rafaruggi on 2010-02-18 02:45 CET

I prefer Elite Vanguard over Steppe Lynx in WW, but that's just me. You got some balls to have maindeck Kor Firewalker. In my "normal" White Weenie, Black Knight is MD, but at least he has First Strike when the pro black is unnefective.

by TheGODehT on 2010-02-18 03:11 CET

So.... What does WW do against elves? I want to build a deck similar to 2nd place IRL, but I can see it pretty much auto losing to eldrazi green/elves.

by P_P4E on 2010-02-18 03:12 CET

I just think with Kor Skyfisher and Knight of the white orchid the potential for either..

A. 2/3 when you don't draw the land but you have the 2/3
B. A massive turn with a sac land, Knight of the white orchid, 6/7 lynx.

Plus with the 2 equipment he isn't useless late, as he's a body to equip, etc.

by DeathMind on 2010-02-18 03:19 CET

I just can't figure out how noobburn went 6-0 with that Elves deck, i had playtested multiple versions of that deck and it usually had a pretty crappy matchup against most decks in the field, well anyway he must have had a lot of luck aswell to go unbeaten for six rounds... probably some awesome starting hands and huge topdecks along the way LOL.

by P_P4E on 2010-02-18 03:19 CET

@TheGODehT

Elspeth makes creatures fly.

Then, you play the spell that makes white better than green...brave the elements.

Then, you win.

I'm guessing the golem doesn't help ONE BIT either in that matchup.

SB In baneslayer, Kor sanctifiers, hell...probably even luminarch.

White Weenie is an excelent meta call right now. Just look at the metagame breakdown: Cruel Control, Jund and Lightning Control are still the most played decks around, and it has a very good matchup against all of them. Now that Eldrazi Green list is incredibly weird. What changes would you do to it, noobburn, after playing this trial?

by mrwegle on 2010-02-18 13:10 CET

Mistyk list is bad too

by Shagrath on 2010-02-18 13:15 CET

Go go, brainless decks!

by ykpon on 2010-02-18 13:28 CET

2 Ant Queen
1 Wolfbriar Elemental
2 Omnath, Locus of Mana
1 Mycoloth

numbers and choises of fatties look a bit random, dont they?

by Ponso on 2010-02-18 13:49 CET

39/44 land lists? plz

by TheBaLRoG on 2010-02-18 14:31 CET

by GoneBananas on 2010-02-18 15:16 CET

by icenine on 2010-02-18 17:03 CET

You should post your list I'm curious

by Magno- on 2010-02-18 17:50 CET

You could just look up the list via:

by Emperok on 2010-02-18 18:48 CET

First place deck is ... I dont understand how it won.
2 Ant Queen
1 Wolfbriar Elemental
2 Omnath, Locus of Mana
1 Mycoloth
Wolbrier is the best card in deck. Mucoloth is worster than brier. Omnath is a easy killable.
And in sb green trap is better than windstorm.

by mrwegle on 2010-02-18 19:29 CET

Emperok welcome to ml

by Buranri on 2010-02-19 01:49 CET
