Zapgaze >

by Kytep on 2010-02-04 06:04 CET

Wow, VERY interesting deck, Zapgaze. Would I be correct in surmising that the concept is to beat your opponent down to, say, 6 life with a Prosecutor, then Trade said Prosecutor, and then Act/Mark it for a turn to finish off your opponent?

I also like the Immortal Coils - I did a double-take there for a moment, then realized what they look like with a Traded Prosecutor on the other side of the table (OR, just Trade over the Coils themselves... :)

But isn't this kind of fragile? Won't people just start Bolting your summoning-sick Traders immediately from now on, ruining your whole plan?

Even if so, I gotta give you kudos for having the ingenuity (not to mention cajones) to make and run a deck like that to the top! I can only imagine how many opponents you blind-sided because they didn't take you seriously when they saw you drop the Trader... :)

lol the bazaar... nice one (lucky 2 byes to finish the trial >> ).

ykpon im taking ur list to FNM this week, can u rundown ur sb strategy???

by TheGODehT on 2010-02-04 06:40 CET

Hm... lost to Zapgaze, 2-0. xD

Double mull to a decent hand for me game one, but couldn't get passed the card advantage he had after a blightning hit me. Then game 2 I was thought hemmorhaged for runeflare trap with no mana open for a counter. I was 3 points of damage away from turn comboing and burning him, but couldn't quite get there.

Well played sir, nice use of immortal coil combo.

by cmc on 2010-02-04 08:30 CET

deck is bad

by clayparson on 2010-02-04 09:08 CET

bit blast into persecutor is silly.

by Conkisstador on 2010-02-04 10:14 CET

bazaar deck missing 4 vampire aristocrat. another outlet for persecutor, a weapon when used with threatens sans trader, a feed to grave for coil, and +6+6 from bloodghast when u play a fetch.

and ya seriosuly LOL at immortal coil when they ahve persecutor. prevent all damage to you. PRO.

by SwordSkill on 2010-02-04 10:43 CET

Excellent Idea the BazaaR is lol but great deck if you are lucky XD!!!!

by Jacois on 2010-02-04 10:46 CET

I guess the Mark of Mutiny and act of Treason can give haste to the Trader....

Relic of Progenitus seems like it should be maindeck as it cantrips and auto wins after you give up the Coil.

by Airknight on 2010-02-04 12:25 CET

People people your far from the correct answer.

thanks Zap our deck is the AWESOME!

That wasn't really blind sided at all... a bunch of people had been testing that deck on mws since bazaar trader and persecutor were spoiled xD

by darkwizard42 on 2010-02-04 23:26 CET

Yeah, obviously, just like Elves, this deck took the metagame by surprise...

How many people were expecting a legitimate threat from a deck like this...

Elves was created for a while, but only when it took ML by storm did people begin to start packing hate.

by on 2010-02-05 00:51 CET

um just so you know...the whole immortal coil thing is pointless:

"Similarly, if the third ability resolves but you don't lose the game for some reason (because you control Platinum Angel, perhaps), it will immediately trigger again if your graveyard is still empty. Immortal Coil + Platinum Angel + an empty graveyard is an involuntary infinite loop. Unless a player disrupts it, the game will end in a draw."

"Testing" is the key word. He had the balls to throw it down and win (:
