by Pekken on 2010-02-03 06:09 CET

Thank god honey, finally some action.

by Truth- on 2010-02-03 06:09 CET

[DT]Archi drew 3 lightning bolts in our game 1 against me. Then in game two he starts off with triple ruinblaster 4 valakut and to top it off when he is top decking he hits Oracle mountain reveal Harrow. I put the harrow to the bottom of his deck via Jace and clearly what else could it be... the third harrow of the game underneath the one I just put on the bottom. *sigh*

wow...the morph with red is CLEARLY worse than with green and white. That's a disgusting list.

I only didnt play morph because my patch is f'ed up. I played a different deck instead.

by Shagrath on 2010-02-03 09:20 CET

Thats what u get with trials at 1 am in europe.

by on 2010-02-03 11:23 CET

Hmm, isn't Barneys dec illegal?

by Magno- on 2010-02-03 11:58 CET

Why would it be illegal @ Panimu?

Or are I not seeing something?

by just2fierce on 2010-02-03 13:14 CET

gj Archie..Our match was epic. He got me in game 3 the turn before he was dead! GJ again!

by JoshJ on 2010-02-03 13:16 CET

Valakut.dec gets the goodies in WWK (Dragonmaster Outcast and Kazuul) yet the guy wins without them.

Such a stupid, stupid lucksack deck.

by Lynolf on 2010-02-03 13:46 CET

This must be the coolest top2 (not top4) with the most bad constructed decks ever. Progenitus, Khalni Garden, Dragonmaster Outcast, Explore... Seriously, whatta hell? :S

DARKING: Sorry, but I have to disagree again. Polymorph decks are still Polymorph decks. They sacrifice a token, reveal a big creature from their decks, put it into play and win. Just because they play different colors, therefore different cards, the strategy is still exactly the same! -__-"

by on 2010-02-03 15:31 CET

Polymorph is still Polymorph.
It's their win condition.

by Benobi on 2010-02-03 17:57 CET

Why are the Polymorph decks using Iona now, as opposed to Progenitus or Colossus?

by wurst12 on 2010-02-03 18:06 CET

Iona can frequently lock an opponent out of the game. It won't swing for as much as collossus or progenitus, but if your opponent can't respond to it or just burn you out, who cares?

by Crazyfox on 2010-02-03 19:19 CET

And what if your opp is playing 2 colors, like Black and Blue?

by combomaster on 2010-02-03 19:21 CET

nice one barneystaller

Because nobody runs Doom Blade.

Also, against Colossus, there's Path, and for El Hydra GOD, you're probably screwed g1, sideboard in some library removal g2, like that one black card, whatever it's called, or hold Negate for Polymorph.

Everything has a counter. Saying Iona sucks because she can get removed is like saying Baneslayer sucks for the same reason and should never see play.

by Markwerf on 2010-02-03 22:58 CET

iona sucks with the new jace around though. Against UWR or UBR you are going to have trouble naming a color. If you don't name blue jace can bounce it, if you do they can either path or terminate it.
But since polymorph is a deck you play for fun and not for seriousness it doesn't really matter i guess

by orphan on 2010-02-04 00:35 CET

by Bantos86 "Everything has a counter. Saying Iona sucks because she can get removed is like saying Baneslayer sucks for the same reason and should never see play."

Actually in this context it is completely valid to say Iona isnt good because it dies to removal. The Poly morph deck attempts to cast polymorph, get one (hard/impossible to kill) fatty and win the game. For Iona to be good in this deck it needs to shut off a majority of the removal the opponent has. It can't do that vs the URX control decks you just have to hope you named the right color.

by on 2010-02-05 09:06 CET

because wwk was not released

by asamodious on 2010-02-05 21:38 CET

it was still legal for the trail panimu. This site does not follow the same legality as in rl. when a patch is out is usually when it becomes legal
