what's classic zoo?
by DARKING on 2009-12-30 04:57 CET
Classic Zoo is Zoo without the modern shenanigans, like Baneslayers, Bant Charms, Knight of Reliquary, Punishing Fire, and instead opt for a more classic approach - efficent one drops (namely nacalt/kird apes/stepe lynx) and two drops, burn (including helix) and ranger of eos.

Ehh... built a terrible sideboard and lost to hive mind. Better luck next time I hope.

I've got to say that I like Ethren's list ;)
by Lynolf on 2009-12-30 10:45 CET
One thing that's interesting in Scapeshift Combo: it wins with red mana (mountains), yet has no red spells mainboard! I still don't think that deck is such a big deal. But I also can't explain why it keeps winning trials and masters...
by magicrichi on 2009-12-30 11:35 CET
darking,i diden´t played monored.I played black burn
by Ethren on 2009-12-30 12:18 CET
Lunari Copy/Paste hahahaha:P
by Krastino on 2009-12-30 13:14 CET
Yeah Ethren, but there are things I don't like about ur/his deck: u lose to a turn1 Blood Moon. You have almost no way to bounce it; and the same is for a turn1 Demigod or Deus. You miserably lose to a Dredge deck pre sb and also post sb ( 3 traps are not enough). I suggest running Echoing Truth somewhere to improve these 2 MUs :)
by Lunari_ on 2009-12-30 14:12 CET
I suggest being in the winners bracket to avoid facing those decks
by Shyft- on 2009-12-30 14:48 CET
I suggest noting that better versions of the deck play Repeal =P
by Krastino on 2009-12-30 14:51 CET
Sure, Repeal is soooooo good vs Demigod, Bridge zombie tokens, multiple threats, Gaddock Teeg...
by Shagrath on 2009-12-30 15:01 CET
Extended is so boring atm.... Tez, Scapeshift.... allways on top, i sincerely hope that wwk brings some cards to refresh the Extended metagame.
by Ryk on 2009-12-30 17:04 CET
This sb of version scapeshift decks , sux a lot ... =/
by headclown on 2009-12-30 20:28 CET
into the roil takes care of Teeg, Mage, Blood Moon, and more.
by Weedmonkey on 2009-12-31 01:28 CET
The reason Scapeshift keeps winning is because the metagame hasn't shifted to accomodate it. People are still playing the same decks and the same strategies. It's not like the deck is unbeatable - it is only a one-trick pony after all.
