1. Please introduce yourself. Whats your real name, how old are you, and where are you from?

<Stalin> My name is Elias Hatem, I'm 18 years old,and I'm from Curitiba, Brazil.


2. How long have you been playing magic? And how long out of that time have you been in Magic-League

<Stalin> I play magic on internet for an extremely long time
<Stalin> like, incinerate was a t2 card and ironclaw orcs were savage =)
<Stalin> I just started in real life about planeshift
<Stalin> and have been playin at magic-league since it started way back when it was called magic4you.nu and there were like 8 players
<Stalin> me, Koen, Dirkjan, Darda, Asmodeus, Mr. Green, and a few others

and what keeps you playing in magic-league? Is it the playtesting? The friends? The amazing coverage articles? Me? tell the truth

<Stalin> Well, the playtesting is fine
<Stalin> Apprentice is better and faster than any other program available
<Stalin> especially for building and testing decks
<Stalin> but what keeps me here are my friends mainly


3. So, who are your best friends in magic-league? Who would you most like to meet in person?

<Stalin> well, the guys from my old team Secksie Mofos mainly
<Stalin> Nathan DeKock, Kutkabouter, MW|Core, Julien
<Stalin> MTGManLA would be great to meet, and obviously Koen
<Stalin> there's another guy too
<Stalin> He is like a father, and a very old friend to me: Lydonius


4. What is your favorite format in magic and why?

<Stalin> If you have asked me that at the beginning of this year i would have said Block Constructed, since it has small card pool with many options
<Stalin> it is more about strategy and metagame than any other format
<Stalin> but this year i learned to love type 1
<Stalin> almost every constructed format also
<Stalin> so i think Constructed is my passion by now


5. Do you play magic in real life? If so, what is your DCI ranking? How does this compare to your Online Rating/Ranking?


<Stalin> I do play in real life, and my constructed is 1930-40
<Stalin> my limited is about 1830 after GP Porto Alegre but i was almost 1900 before that
<Stalin> my rating here is kinda bad, 1800 constructed
<Stalin> but i just came back to the league about a week and a half ago


6. You mentioned that you just came back to the league recently. Why did you leave in the first place?

<Stalin> Well people don’t really like me around here, so I thought it was better to leave, because GP Porto Alegre in limited was coming and i needed training
<Stalin> so i spent sometime on magic online, but i saw that where i really enjoy to play is here
<Stalin> don’t know why, just like it, so i came back


7. How do you feel about the league right now? Do you like the new Masters invitation policy? Why or why not?

<Stalin> Well, the league is doing fine. It has some good people coordinating it
<Stalin> the new master invitation stuff raised the quality of players and reduced the big masters of about 932181903 people that they used to have
<Stalin> it is looking good. I'm definitely liking the change at least


8. Is there anything you would change about Magic-League if you were Koen?
<Stalin> Koen does a fantastik job

<Stalin> if i were Koen, Im sure this league would have been a totally falling apart
<Stalin> so I'll leave the changes for the people who really have the capacity to make things better
haha, ok, well, if koen granted you one wish, what would it be?
<Stalin> well, Apprentice 2.0 would be finished
<Stalin> so all the problems with apprentice 1 and MWS would disappear
<Stalin> that would be really good for the league


9. So, can we expect a big season from you and your team in the team division this time around, sine we all know you tore it up last season?

<Stalin> Well, I hope so. I always do kind of ok at seasons around here
<Stalin> especially at the seasons back on the odyssey block, back when mofos pwned the league
<Stalin> so who knows, I guess if Julien did it at worlds, why cant i do it here at magic-league?
