Steve The Helper Monkey
Latest Version: 1.16
Download: Here
Requirements: mIRC. Created with Version 6.35, but should work with Version 6.20 and later.

Once You've Downloaded it...read Steve's Readme.txt

People have asked if various things related to the league can be done with IRC, so I've basically gone and compiled them into a single script for M-Lers to use. I'll be trying to update this as soon as bugs/feature requests come in if possible.

Oh and about those, feel free to post those bugs and things you want to see in Steve in here. The script has been thoroughly alpha tested, and it should be fully functional apart from the bugs that are listed in this thread.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Known Bugs:

None, they've all been fixed!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Features:

Implemented:

- Die roll system
- Coin flip system
- Announce when pairings are posted in #magic-league
- Announce when a tournament is open of a particular format
- Announce when a particular judge opens a tournament of any format
- Announce when a round has ended (both #magic-league and #master)
- A macro for telling someone how to download MWS, one for telling them where to find the gamepack, and one for telling them how to use MWS.
- Can set pairings to be displayed in any color.
- Can set Judges' names to be displayed in any color
- Channel Access Dialog
- Panel for submitting Master results
- Tell judges that their mini is full
- Tell judge that their mini is ready to be paired

To Be Implemented:

- Sign up for minis on IRC (will be almightily difficult to implement, but I will try my best to implement it in Steve) [Suggested by BodyG]

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update List:

V0.90: First release.

V0.91 (27/1/09)

- Altered some trigger events to actually trigger on something rather than everything (should remove some of the lag for people on older computers).

V0.92 (27/1/09)
- Fixed an issue where Steve will tell you every time a round ends (using the Set Current Tournament function is now important)
- Added a function to display pairings in any color

V0.93 (28/1/09)

- Complete rewrite of most base code functions
- Interface overhaul (includes merging of Channel Dialog with the Configuration menu)
- Support for up to 5 formats/judges for Tournament Notifcation
- Custom colors for pairings, judges and for Steve
- Different sounds can be used for opening tournaments, timers etc.

v1.02 (19/2/09)
- Fixed combo boxes in Colors menu, should now save colors normally
- Fixed Judge tournament announcements

v1.10 (19/2/09)
- Fixed the sounds browser buttons
- Added in menubar
- Added menu to submit Master results.

v1.12 (20/2/09)
- Fixed a minor code error with the storage of variables
- Voice now instantly given to anyone using this script in #weedmonkey4u
- Can now check who else is running Steve.

v1.13 (23/2/09)
- Some minor changes to variable evaluation in the code.

v1.14 (5/3/09)
- Fixed evaluation in color options for basic

v1.15 (15/3/09)
- Fixed an issue with the Sounds tab where the Browse buttons weren't playing nice with the overwrite functions

v1.16 (18/3/09)
- Fixed the minibeg function
- Can now tell judges when their mini is full
- Can now tell judges when the next round of a mini is ready to be paired

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any issues, comments etc. can either be made in this thread, to me via PM or in #weedmonkey4u

Cheers,
Weedmonkey

Anyone checked this?

Does it work?

Is it a virus/trojan?

Lenin: I wouldn't be stupid enough to post a virus/trojan -_-

If you need to know, you can a) ask the people who have already downloaded it in #magic-league, b) ask Phantomal (the owner of the IRC Network Magic-League is on) since he helped me debug it or c) Look at the entire code yourself in IRC.

Remember not to spam dice roll or coin flip in a league channel or I will have to ban Weedmonkey.

Hence why the script echoes dice rolls and coin flips and doesn't say them. No flood issues with the script in #magic-league Razz

How about:

- A strange, Weedmonkey-themed game where we guide you through a text adventure where you learn the meaning of life and the value of a dollar.

- Random insult macro.

- A macro for telling someone how to download MWS, one for telling them where to find the gamepack, and one for telling them how to use MWS.

- A macro making fun of someone for being a noob, complete with random insults.

- Auto +v in #Weedmonkey4u

Doable, but m-l idiots already do enough of the insulting as it is. No need to give them more fodder than is necessary.

I'll add that to the list.

Hmm...I'll have to think about that one. Certainly an interesting prospect.

V0.91 released. Updates will continue to be daily for a while as long as there are errors and/or feature requests for the script.

v0.92 is released! Few changes, make sure you use the Set Current Tournament function if you're in one, and I'm still more than happy to take requests for features to be added to steve

Just downloaded the zip file alsorhombus, the issue is on your end (the file isn't corrupted). Redownload it and it should be fine.

alsorhombus: I'll contact you in the channel about it.

As for v0.94 release, I'm shooting to release it by the end of next week. I need to code in a master panel for myself so it's easier for me to work on Steve, plus it will take me some time to implement the features everyone has requested. There are also some features of my own I am working on in this one (announcements for 30 mins remaining, 20 mins remaining etc.)
