Thing is, there ...

This has basically been answered, but if you are looking for some kind of "reason" here, it is simply because the game state can become very complex. It is entirely possible that you'll move to the co ...

The only card I don't endorse is the 4x Treasure Hunt. I get it's nice card draw with ponder/jace, but I find jace is good enough card draw as it is... Someone enlighten me

Basically, 1U for a ...

any kind of goblin guide type deck is going to be a problem for control.

If you can hit your one and two-drops with, for example, goblin guide, hellspark elemental, your gonna be in good shape.

The thing somebody did for me when I was very young:

build a cheap burn deck and teach the guy to play it. Make it mono-red and put in at least one of each type of spell.

Then play him a bunch w ...

dude, if you are going to get this defensive about your deck, don't post it. You asked for advice and people are nice enough to give it to you.

That said, despite your lengthy explanation, Lightnin ...

Ranger is too valuable to the late-game of this deck, simply for the fact that he can fetch two Allies. For this deck, he's like Join the Ranks 5-6. I see that he's not quite as valuable as the Instan ...

Allies seem to suck ass. It's the same strategy as Vampires which at least has Mind Sludge and Bloodghast to combat the difficult matchups. Allies got....nothing. Great in theory to have big growing m ...

I would drop ranger of eos in this deck.

You have way too many 2-3 drops to make him worth it.

You are better off w/ path to exile in that spot.

and obviously, lightning bolt has to be in the ...

searing blaze is excellent against planeswalkers though.

It is worth a space on the SB, but against control decks it can be totally useless, as others have said.

I would drop earthquake in favor of lightning bolt.

Though, earthquake is great at killing planeswalkers.

rule of thumb: if you have mountains, run lightning bolt. It might be the best 1 cost sp ...

As other people have said, cancel just isn't counterspell.

You might not think that 1 extra mana matters, but against aggro and/or combo decks (which is basically all that is getting played right n ...
