Easy answer: MtG just needs more women... Easy as that... But women donīt want to play in such a sick community, the reasons are understandeable so itīs a kind of vicious circle...

If it were like you stated, everyone would play this "combo".
But it does not work because the Eye triggers only when a blue spell is played. Copying spells is not considered as playing them.

Control decks are harder to play and many casual players are frustrated playing against counter decks and eventually quit the game, but WotC want to hinder exactly this progress.

I try to make it as less disappointing as possible: Jund is the best T2 deck and Vampires are nothing, a trash pile in comparison th it.
