I want to hear some opinions on 2 blue rares that i find quite interesting.
Puca's Mischief. This is the card the forces exchange of permenents. First glance i thought it sucked. After thinking about it is could be quite powerful. Its a johnny card(build around me) But with cards like Riftwing Cloudskate and Return to mist you can start generating a great deal of card advantage.
Savor the Moment. I am putting this as the most undervauled card right now and have bought 3 playsets already. I don't think it will enter tarmogoyf territory... but is a very powerful with some other blue cards. Picture Turn 1 Ancestrial Vision, Turn 2 Riftwing Cloudskate, turn 3 Counter random spell. Turn 4 Savor the moment into both suspends and get an extra land drop, that will be a huge tempo swing. Savor the Moment seems like it will never be bad, it just will be Lackluster when you need a real card and basicly cycle it.
I am having trouble seeing what cards are "huge" in the set, anyone else have any theroes? |

| pucas mischief will form a bounce deck if anything, it is still slow, and red will beat it up, and prolly faeries and prolly merfolk, but it is still interesting, you have to remember that control decks arent that good of an idea if they are on par with aggro decks at the begginning of a season because they are better when everyone starts netdecking or at least sit on one deck. Savor the moment is blah. it is good with vigilance dudes, but when you say tarmogoyf levels i think you think otherwise... few cards have made it to tarmogoyf levels in t2 |

Sygg, River Cutthroat - Great with Psionic Blast; and better than Dark Confidant in most cases.
Inkfathom Infiltrator - Unblockable goodness great in merfolk and rogue decks.
Cursecatcher - Nice in merfolk decks; better than the changeling in the one drop spot. |

Yeah, I've been looking at savor the moment since it got spoiled and was thinking it was the card for merfolk beats in T2. You have to play Merrow Commerce, too but i'd play it considering you're already beating their face in the first 4 turns. Swing, play the commerce, end your turn, untap your dudes. Block if needed. Untap again. Swing. Play savor the moment. end turn. Untap. time walk = GG I think.
flame on, flamers. LOL |

| You must remeber the synergy Savor the moment has is with affects like Rites of the Flourishing, Howling Mine, suspend, ect. Also note that those cards have synergy with Puca's Mischief. |

i think that savor the moment at BARE minimum reads "There is an additional combat stage this turn. you may play and additional land this turn. Draw a card."
that is pretty sweet for a 3 mana sorcery.
but THEN, on top of that you've got all the possibilities of vigilance and doubled upkeep triggers and the like. This could combine with paradox haze and just confuse everyone and their mothers. It's alot like final fortune in a way....where you wouldnt cast it unless you were prepared. people will find uses for it and it will be cool. but im sure it will never ever be timewalk. that ain't even a question.
but cmon man, its at least a cantrip Nature's Lore with benefits |

That doesn't work. Seedborn untaps your stuff when your opponents untap |

| Savor the moment is prolly the most undervalued card. Merrow Commerce makes it amazing as does Vigilance in a card like Twilight Shepard. I think you'll see plenty of U/W control running those Shep and Savor and utterly raping with it. |

Wow a month later I have to admit how wrong I was. Look at all the tier 1 decks using Sygg now. He really is better then Dark Confidant and Tarmogoyf |

Sygg is good. Nowhere near Dark Confidant though.
Savor the Moment is a crap rare and will never be anything else.
Puca's Mischief is a 4-mana enchantment doing nothing the turn it comes into play, and when it does do something, it isn't very good unless you play lots of poor spells you wouldn't otherwise have in any deck. It is slow, it is circumstantial and if the opponent plays bounce too, you are in a mess. |
