So I wanted to make a Glittering Wish control deck for ext. I was thinking that the best colors are G/W/B. So here is the list.
// Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)
// Lands
4 [RAV] Temple Garden
4 [RAV] Overgrown Tomb
4 [GP] Godless Shrine
4 [TSP] Flagstones of Trokair
2 [10E] Swamp (1)
1 [10E] Plains (1)
1 [10E] Forest (1)
// Creatures
4 [FUT] Tarmogoyf
3 [RAV] Loxodon Hierarch
3 [OD] Mystic Enforcer
// Spells
4 [MR] Chrome Mox
4 [FUT] Edge of Autumn
4 [FUT] Glittering Wish
4 [AP] Phyrexian Arena
3 [GP] Castigate
3 [AP] Gerrard's Verdict
3 [AP] Vindicate
3 [DIS] Crime/Punishment
2 [AP] Pernicious Deed
// Sideboard
SB: 1 [RAV] Loxodon Hierarch
SB: 1 [OD] Mystic Enforcer
SB: 1 [GP] Castigate
SB: 1 [AP] Gerrard's Verdict
SB: 1 [AP] Vindicate
SB: 1 [DIS] Crime/Punishment
SB: 1 [IN] Heroes' Reunion
SB: 1 [GP] Mortify
SB: 1 [RAV] Putrefy
SB: 1 [IN] Armadillo Cloak
SB: 1 [AP] Death Grasp
SB: 1 [GP] Souls of the Faultless
SB: 1 [GP] Culling Sun
SB: 1 [RAV] Vulturous Zombie
SB: 1 [RAV] Tolsimir Wolfblood
What I need some help with is the wishboard. There are some cards that I have never wished for like; Culling Sun, Gerrard's Verdict, Castigate. and Death Grasp.
I have also have to debate the WB cost of Castigate over Duress. I am not really sure if the RFG is worth it in a format full of wishes. Other then that I am really happy about the main deck on paper. I would like to test it more vs big name decks.
O I am not calling it Rock becuase there is only one Rock. This deck is named for a NIN/Trent Reznor track called "Sliping Away" at was on CSI:Miami. I was watching it when the the song came on and I got the idea for the deck.
Let the flames begin... |

The one thing that I would do is probably put Duress main deck. Definitely over Castigate,seeing as to how your playing Gerrard's Verdict as well and being able to get three cards by turn 2 is a lot better than on turn three.
As far as the sideboard goes,try adding Debtor's Knell. You'd be suprised how many times it'd come in handy. Also,just a personal favorite,Spiritmonger,could be good as well. Maybe even Harmonic Sliver. Just a few suggestions. |

| I would Deff. put one Deeds Sideboard, A teneb is also great, it's hard to imagine a scenario in which you would want to wish for gerrards verdict.... and finally just an off the wall suggestion, (Darkheart of the Wood) |
