The problem probably has to do with your router (i.e. wireless or otherwise). Be sure that both players enable port forwarding for the port 5253 (router setting can be found at 192.168.1.1).

questions:

-Are you on a college Network?

-Do you have a router?

-Which firewalls did u disable? (windows or local)

-ISP? (i.e: AOL, Road Runner, etc.)


answer these... and it should help us solve your problem.

A lot of times behind a router the IP you get is a local one for your local network not for your internet. If it starts with 10.x.x.x, it's probably wrong. Use this website: http://checkip.dyndns.org:8245/ to get your definitely "Correct" ip number.
