nether traitor: Whenever another creature is put into your graveyard from play, you may pay B. If you do, return Nether Traitor from your graveyard to play.

if i have a nether and another creature in play and my opponent casts damnation. Will the nethers trigger due to state base effects because they all go the yard at the same time?

This has nothing to do with State-Based Effects.

The Nether Traitor has to in the graveyard when the other creature goes to the graveyard to trigger. Since they go to the graveyard at the same time, it won't trigger.

But it doesnt say the nether has to be in the yard when the creature dies.
Whenever another creature is put into your graveyard from play, you may pay B. If you do, return Nether Traitor from your graveyard to play.
that is how it is printed on the card so i dont see why he has to be in the yard to trigger?

the clause states you return nether traitor from your graveyard to play, meaning that even if CONCEPTUALY you would like to argue that nether traitor does not have to be in the graveyard for this ability to trigger, nether triator MUST be in the graveyard for this ability to send him back to play

Here's the ruling on starcitygames (which I believe is correct)...

In order for Nether Traitor's ability to trigger, the ability must exist before another creature would go to the graveyard. As this ability only triggers when the Traitor is in the graveyard, it will have to be in the graveyard before this other creature goes to the graveyard. This is why if Nether Traitor goes to a graveyard at the same time as some other creature, its ability will not trigger.

And even then... let say what you say would work. we would be in big trouble because it would be an infinite loop. and since you wouldn't have something to respond.. you would lose
