I have been out of the Legacy tournys for a while now but I saw an this on mtg.com. It bought back some memories of playing this in Mirage Block. There was a Standard version of the deck as well. I would like to rebuild it for 1.5. This was one of my fav combo decks of all time. I think that the first thing that may need to go is the 4 Infernal Contract. I am sure that there is better draw out there. I would like something that will give me a +3 card advantage or more. Also I need a bit of anti Aggro tech for the SB. For CounterTOP decks I was thinking City of Solitude. I also would like a some anti-burn tech as well.

why play this when u can play tendrils or sumthin

plus im not sure but i think some of the stuff in the list is restricted :0

I need a new tutor... Looks as if I will need all 5 colors for Burning Wish and maybe Minds Desire?

As much as I love mike long and everything he does(nuts to all you haters out there). This deck is really unplayable by today’s standards. It is incredibly unresilient to disruption which today's 1.5 is packed with. Plus theres tons of combo decks in 1.5 that are just much faster and more resilient to disruption.

Yes this is ture but could the main theme be reworked into a new deck...

The best thing about the deck is Cadaverous Bloom and Prosperity. As far as faster, I have blown up on fouth turn in Standard with the deck. (I love Dark Ritual!) Really the discard matchup is very tough. Bottled Cloister really helps a lot. If you can get one Prosperity in for 5-6 then you will still win.

For those of you who don't know. Mike Long who played that deck was banned for life from DCI. He cheated a lot using that deck and even caught it on film. He kept usually a Cadaverous Bloom in his lap, and did some "grip shuffle" and some strange pile shuffle to stack his deck. Its something like pile shuffling into 4 piles and repeating this 6 times, the deck restores itself to the way it started. And is unaffected by how your opponent cuts it if they simply take the top half and put it on the bottom. I'm not sure about the details, but there is an article on this site or another about his banning and how he cheated immensely with that deck.

Prosperity has bad news written all over it. It will give your opponent a grip full of counters or other bad stuff. I LOVE this deck, but it is unplayable today.
