You cut the number of white mana while adding a WW-costing creature in Silver Knight? Does. Not. Compute. I'd definitely try to fit few more Flagstones in and the second Tomb of Urami is actually sexcellent. Tomb is incredibly good to break as a 5/5 asskicker, it just ends games fast and has evasion to boot. Best of all, it's a land up until you need a Demon, and with Flagstones (Play. 4.) and Chrome Mox, you can generally still cast everything you draw after breaking 'em up.
I've learned to like Funeral Charm in the Darkblast slot really much, but I can fully see the grondings behind the Darkblast. Still, combo- and control-MUs are both weakened by the lack of 'discard whatever you drew', especially for those midgame topdeck scenarios (they happen). I also like 4 Jotun Grunts main, since that frees up SB-slots, shores up any graveyard-MUs game 1 and gives you positively the biggest guy on the table against just about anything. I also SB Infest nowadays and it's pretty sweet against Boros. If you want to play Jitte, MD it, it's a horrible waste of space to keep it on the SB. Sideboard should be devoted for match-uo specific cards, not generally good cards. The reason I'm not playing Jittes in my own build at all is the fact that I just don't find them that stellar when I run like 16 creatures total; most of the time, it's just a win-more. |

On the contrary, what i've found during my time playtesting with it is that jitte doesn't belong in the maindeck but I've been getting very good results with 2 in the board. against most control and combo matchups, jitte is quite useless, and thus you'd rather have those slots used for things that are always good (verdict, vindicate, and everything else that is usually found in the MD). However, against BDW, jitte is just so vital to win the race since their clock is sped up by your nights whispers, fetches, duals, and confidant. it provides a life cushion, acts as one-sided wraths at times (and i've found it to be better than infest in most situations since i dont have to clear my side of the board), and at worst forces your opponent into making really bad 2-for-1s.
but, having said that, both eldariel and i have good results as proof that both our versions, with our differences in taste and card selection, work quite well. just test both and see what you prefer.
i do agree with him on the silver knight issue though. WW is an ugly cost for a Bw deck. it never comes out turn 2 unless you put an extra 2-4 life into it, and silver knight isnt worth the extra effort, seeing that hypnotic specters were cut in their favor. |

| About 75% of the time I have been testing this deck. Hypnotic has been a dead card in my hand. He falls to easily to burn. Boros and Solution both run enough to kill him once he lands on the table. And the WW isn't too hard really the Deck runs almost the same amount of B and W. I do like the funeral Charm, but Darkblast has good synergy with Grunt. The jittes I have never really sided them in so I may cut them compeletly or just down a bit. |
