Are there any good programs out there to store your collection of cards in a way that is easy to use and populate. I don't care if it can play a game or not, just store the cards and output to apprentice format, have some simple organizing ability, and kept up-to-date with card sets. There were over 300 hits for magic programs on sourceforge, be nice to have the inside word on which ones aren't dead-ware first.
Thanks,

"Store your collection of cards" as in how many of each card you own, which you have in foil, how much they sell for, stuff like that? If that's what you're looking for, you can easily do that with MWS (Magic Workstation) which you can download on the site, under "Download & Guides" on the left side of the screen.
All you have to do is go to "View" and then "Library Mode". Hit "File", "New Library", and "Personal Library" and input everything you own into that library. You can then use that library as a base to build decks from, you can use MWS to play games, and if you want to put it to Appr format, you can copy the deck to clipboard, save it to a word document, delete the extra stuff and then import it from the text file. All in all, MWS is probably what you're looking for. |

We'll I've been working with MWS lately and have another thread in that forum regarding the complex search filter. From my experience so far MWS is terrible for going through cards and building decks so I would rather not put my entire collection in there (a few thousand cards).
sooo. . .
Has anyone used any other programs to track their personal cards and build decks/output to apprentice with? |
