61 is 99.999% of the time a wrong choice

- Mind Twist, tell your pet card to f*ck off

I would cut 1 Merchant Scroll for sure to drop to 60. I don't think you need all 4 Gifts, either. I'm not a big fan of Misdirection, but Duress seems iffy too. You have to fetch a Sea to play Duress, and you usually only want to get a dual to play something extremely important. Duress is not worth getting Wasted. I would either
A) Drop a Scroll, a Gifts, and 2 Misdirection for 3 TFK or
B) If you sold on Scroll and Gifts, cut 2 Misdirection for 2 Gorilla Shaman/Pithing Needle/hate card of your choice
If you keep MisD, I would definitely run Fire/Ice over Darkblast. I think Fire/Ice is stronger anyway, but I don't think it is close if you have 6 pitch spells.

The Pyroblasts in the sideboard should be REB. REB is stronger, and it's not like you're going to get Cranial Extracted for REB or something. There's just no advantage to Pyroblast (correct me if I'm wrong. I guess it can up your Storm count. Whether or not that's more valuable than its ability to be Misdirected to anything is a closer race than I at first thought). I'd fit a Massacre in the sideboard, also. U/W Fish looks like the best aggro deck in T1 right now.

I think the nature of the Gifts deck makes it more likely to take too long to kill and defend itself from getting killed.

As far as Pyroblast and Red Elemental Blast, they do the exact same thing, counter blue spells, and destroy blue permanents. It's a matter of taste...Personally just because of the off chance of cranial extraction (yawn, NOBODY runs extraction in t1...come on now) I'd run 2 and 2. Makes it look more techy too.

As far as Fish being the best aggro deck in t1...its really the only aggro deck. Oath is more like combo, and you can't count DSC beats, because he's more like the secondary win condition to tendrils. which is the best deck right now.

Though I like the Pitch Long style myself.

I would cut mind twist 2 merchant and would only run 1 chain or rebuild. i would add therefore 3 duress and you have a 60 card deck. And btw i realy like sundering more then darksteel cause in t1 the only
realy creature killer is swords. And the sundering just kills decks like fish they loose 2-3 mana you have a realy fatty if they destroy they have no mana anymore. You got your atrifact mana (guessing no katkis or nullrod is out and even if thei are out you could save your islands maybe keep a polluted on hand.... thats why i realy prefer sundering, ok it doesnt kill in two rounds but it just controls the enemy ways more. (hes only bad as hell vs affinity). And at least he could be hardcasted with mana drain and art mana kind of fast Smile

Ok my list is I think 2-3 cards off from the deck that won vintage worlds. I would MUCH rather cut FoF then the 4th gifts because FoF just isn't as good. Also the sb is also 3-4 off from meandeck's sb. The Pyroblast/REB was in the meandeck sb.
