If you can get Confinement out G1 and can sustain it you basically win as not many decks run MD disenchants, G2/G3 you really need something else or a quick win condition as most decks DO have some disenchant effects in the side.
I'd say either Enchantress or a Loam based deck would be best for Confinement. For a Loam based deck try changing the GRb Loam deck that top 3'd the last trial to replace black with white and add Confinement. |

Use intuition for
1 Grave-Shell Scarab
2 Squee, Goblin Nabob
Forbid is very good with Squee by the way. |

There is no "accepted" Solitary C. list. The highest placing one I know of is my Enchantress deck but there's also a Loam based deck that noone has perfected. You can't just netdeck this one I'm afraid you're going to have to innovate. The only list I know of is Anusien's on Starcity but he sucks and prolly a suboptimal list on the source. |

Here's what Gabriel Nassif played at Grand Prix Lille
1 Grave-Shell Scarab
2 Squee, Goblin Nabob
4 Exploration
4 Life from the Loam
4 Force of Will
4 Brainstorm
3 Counterspell
3 Solitary Confinement
3 Intuition
2 Forbid
4 Swords to Plowshares
4 Flooded Strand
2 Windswept Heath
3 Tundra
4 Tropical Island
2 Savannah
3 Lonely Sandbar
2 Tranquil Thicket
1 Secluded Steppe
1 Cephalid Coliseum
1 Scrubland
3 Wasteland
Sideboard
3 Meddling Mage
4 Vinelasher Kudzu
3 Massacre
3 Chalice of the Void
2 Null Rod
I like the idea but it has no way of penetrating goblins.
With confinement in play they still drop creatures and all you have is one Scarab. Who by himself does nothing in this context. Maybe a wrath main or on side, whatever your choice you must be ready to defeat Goblins.
There is also the CAL approach to the Solitary C. deck. It is basically the same as the Extended version except for lands and Mox Diamond apart from that its the same. |

I have played this list a fair amount, and I don't think it is competitive in Legacy anymore. That statement, however, is just false. If you have them Confinement locked, you just have to keep ramming the Scarab in. Anytime they kill it, you just dredge it back. They don't have anything that can block it forever.
Also, you can just return+pitch Squee and let them deck. |
