|
|
Hello Everyone,
I am not sure if anyone knows of the story of the one red paperclip. It is a guy that is trading up from one red paperclip to get a house.
Well this has inspired me...
I am going to attempt to trade up from a Magic:The Gathering 4th edition basic forest, up to a Magic:The Gathering Alpha Black Lotus.
Why?
Well, it's not because of money. It'll be fun to see people helping me reach my goal. Once I reach that goal, trading up for a cure. I am going to sell the card on eBay and donate all of the money to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Please visit http://onebasicforest.blogspot.com to see the current trades and the progress towards my goal to help make this happen.
Thank you for your time,
SaumZ |

So you got all the way up to Cromat and someone stole it...
1: Who steals a Cromat?
2: Needless to say once you get to 100$ worth of stuff you better keep an eagle eye on it.
3: It's going to be REALLY hard to get up to an ALPHA Black Lotus. Not to mention Beta is cooler. At any rate there are lots of cards worth between 10-50$ but once you get upto 100$ it's really going to get harder and harder to push for better stuff.
4: Since it's going to be rediculously hard to get a Black Lotus out of this will you sell whatever trades you have aquired should you give up? For example a year has passed and you have 2x Abyss or something like that and haven't traded up in months, will you sell them for charity? |

When you get to the $100 range, start trading down.
As in, trade a $100 for 2 $60-$70 cards |

Yeah obviously thats what you have to do but when your talking about a BB Black Lotus it's going to get hard after $100 no matter how you slice it. On a related note if you do get a BB Lotus you should talk to WOTC, I bet Richard Garfield and (Insert name of dude how drew Lotus) would sign it for you if it was for charity. I've seen a card they both signed before on Ebay. |

| Chris Rush is a really nice guy too, lives in California these days, I'd be very surprised if he wouldn't sign it for a good cause. |

That would be really cool if I get someone with a name people recognize to help me out. I have gotten a few very nice offers for the forest to start.
I have also gotten a spot on a card shop's website in San Antonio, and he will be passing out flyers as well. |

Anyone else catch the fact that the 4th Forest and Lotus are both drawn by Chris Rush?
Good luck to you! |

# 1 ENTIRE SET of UNHINGED, nonfoil, obviously missing Super Secret Tech since that card's only available as a foil, for the forest. - pstuko
# I will trade an Overgrown Tomb for the forest. (It'll no longer be basic, but at least it'll still be a forest.) - Ken S.

| They are indeed 2 amazing offers for the trade. There is 1 day left in the first round of trading. Please feel free on spreading the word of this event, and also post comments in the blog entry helping me decide which trade I would accept for teh second round. |
