For round 18, the rules are going to be a little more complicated than usual.
-For each DIFFERENT letter in your deck, you will get a point. For example, a deck with Swamp, Pox, and Dark Ritual has the letters S, W, A, M, P, O, X, D, R, K, I, T, U, and L. That person would get 14 bonus points.
-If you have the most different letters in your deck than any other deck, you will get 15 bonus points.
-If you have the least amount of different letters, then you will get -15 points.
-If your deck has all 26 letters in it, then you will get 10 bonus points in addition to the "most different letters" bonus.
-If your deck has any cards with the letter Q, you get 5 bonus points for each Q. The same applies to X and Z.
-If your deck has Ancestral Recall in it, you will get 15 bonus points.
-If your deck has no artifacts, no creatures, no lands, no enchantments, no instants, and/or no sorceries, you will get 3 points for each that you do not use.
-If your deck has the most occurrences of your most common letter than any other deck, you get 15 bonus points. For example, Swamp, Pox, Dark Ritual's most common letter is A. It has 3 occurrences of A. Forest, Thallid, Thallid's most common letter is L. It has 4 occurrences of L. If it were just these two decks, Thallid.dec would get the bonus.
-If you have the least of the above, then you get -15 points.
-If you have the most bonus points, you get 5 extra bonus points.

Don't worry, though. The decks will still be played out, so you can always choose for functionality over style. :)

Is it convoluted? Yes. Will it be the best round ever? It damn well better.

NEW: YOU CAN SUBMIT 2 DECKS. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAAHH1!!!1111
(you will not get combined points)

What is 3cb?

3-Card Blind (3CB) is a very unique game. The rules are as follows

Your deck is composed of 3 cards, all of which start in your hand.
You have no library (technically, the library exists, but starts at 0 cards) and no sideboard (Wishes fetch nothing).
Random effects always go in your opponent's favour.
You can see your opponent's hand, so you can always make the best possible play.
You don't lose as a result of not being able to draw a card.
You will play each opponent twice, once going first, once going second.
For each win, you score 3.
For each draw, you score 1.
For each loss, you get nothing.
Other than the aforementioned, EVERYTHING IS HANDLED EXACTLY LIKE A REAL GAME OF MAGIC!

To make an entry, PM your deck to me (GRAH) in the following format:

Subject: 3cb Tournament Entry or 3cb Tournament Revision
Deck Name
Card #1
Card #2
Card #3

(For those who don't know, you don't actually play, you just send the decks and, because of the way the rules work, it's easy for me to compute results.)

If you have any format ideas, tell me!

I'd just like to say that if this round is NOT the most convoluted, confusing, and hilarious format I will ever do, I will kill Koen.

He will be replaced with a Frenchman.

Have the players do some of the work for you:

Deck submission format:

Deck Name
Card 1
Card 2
Card 3
# of unique letters:
# of most common letter:

Or something like that. You can check up on the top 5 to make sure they counted correctly.

No, I'd rather do it myself, as I don't trust any of you people to tie your own shoes, much less count.
