what to do?

What do I do about a roommate who is absolutely computer stupid and dosen't listen to you when you tell him to stop downloading those stupid 2MB war games off the internet because they're accompanied by a few "search assistants"?
This guy is one of those people they make pop-ups for. Literally. I don't know what his problem is. Then he sits there and dosen't know what to do because the computer is frozen and complains. Then I spend an hour or so of my time trying to fix it. I've explained this to him a million times. This has been going on for three and a half years now.
He's got his own part of the computer but he uses mine because his is all screwed up. Him and all of his friends. They are all stupid. I went on vacation this past weekend. Before I left on Friday, the computer was running fine. I come home on Tuesday and turn it on and it takes over ten minutes before I can start one software. In that span of ten minutes or so, six pop-ups in internet explorer froze the computer. I ran Ad-Aware, there were 108 problems. I ran Registry cleaner. There were 43 problems. I went through the control panel and removed seven "Search Assistants" and three "Internet Optimizers". I haven't run CrapCleaner yet. That's next on my list. Now I'm getting pop-ups in Mozilla - which didn't happen before. Limewire started getting out of control. I started getting informational pop-ups in Java related to Limewire. While I was running Ad-Aware, I noticed it had scanned over 100,000 files and it wasn't done yet. I looked at the file names. It was all downloaded porn. I let it go for a couple minutes, it had scanned about six thousand more files, all still porn and still going. I attempted to follow the path to the folder these files were in. I couldn't find it. I ran a search for the some of the more common words in all these files "Amateur", "Asian" the search told me to follow the same path to find them. I still can't find that folder.
This is getting very frustrating. I really just want to punch him in the face. I've told him countess times to stop, but he won't. I know he's not like literally retarded. He just dosn't get it. He dosn't understand anything but getting high, getting drunk and getting laid. He won't listen to me about the computer because it vexes him to think that I know more about it than him. It's really frustrating and I don't know what to do...

A swift kick to the genital area should draw his attention, and keep him focussed long enought to explain his future trouble when it comes to interhuman relationships if he keeps on fucking up your computer.

do you both have like a different account on the computer? if so then just use the admin to prevent his account from DL and all. or you could just do what flavio said and password protect it and tell himi he cant get on it anymore

Yeah this one is painfully obvious. Put a password on everything and call it a day. Granted any idiot can get around such a tactic, but it should be more then your friend can handle. Also be sure to clean his jizz off your keyboard, I guess a Q-Tip would handle that. Also find a new roommate. I actually had a roommate that was the same way except I didn't have a computer so he just he ate all my food, drank all my liquor, smoked my weed and never got laid but was a massive cock-blocker. Seriously all he did all day was wake up at noon smoke weed, watch tv, play video games, smoke weed, drink beer, play video games, beat off, drink, smoke weed, watch tv until 5 in the morning, wake up at noon, repeat. I had to use his computer once to mapquest something and it was only a year old but took 10 mins. to open AOL and I accidently opened a fake naked picture of Britney Spears he had saved on it *eww* even your porn is lame dude. I recommend having sex on his couch and skeeting all over it, then move out when he goes on vacation and change your phone number, worked for me.

Does he have his own toilet? If so, have you heard of an "upper-decker"? It's when you take a dump in the basin of the toilet. It's top-shelf get-backery. Password password password. Threaten to tell his mom he's using the pc to download questionable midget-ladder-firehose-donkey-potato peeler porn vids. Also.. this one is fierce.. but if it continues, dump in between his matresses..but the untraceable stench will drive him INSANE.. I know it sounds GROSS, but hey...
