This is a deck I just had an idea for. It is in no way complete, it's just something for you to think about and build off of. Finally, I'm not sure if this is 1.x or not... Clue me in though.
THE DECK
This is built around Biorythym. Therefore there are a lot of cards that destroy your opponent's creatures. These spells cost a lot of mana, so I decided to use Elves to get extra mana easily. Wirewood Channeler is especially good in this deck.
//Land (just a suggestion, experiment to find the right amounts)
12 Forest
4 Swamp
4 Plains
//Creatures
4 Mageta the Lion
4 Wirewood Channeler
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Wirewood Elf
4 Urborg Elf
4 Quirion Elves
//Spells
4 Biorythym
4 Diabolic Tutor
4 Rampant Growth
4 Plague Wind
//
There's the basic idea. Feel free to make suggestions and change the deck. And don't piss on me for using 4 card blocks. Let me know a better name for the deck also. |

| Maget the Lion rotated out last year with the rest of Masques block. |

| So what do you suggest I put in place of Mageta to keep this deck 1.x legal? |

Thought about it, but it destroys all creatures. You'd need to play a creature before you could play Biorhythm so you wouldn't lose. Therefore it wouldn't really be a viable option in this deck. Anything else that would work that destroys your opponents creatures?
Mageta works because he kills everything except himself, leaving you with 1 creature to play Biorhythm on. Plague Wind is really the best option for this deck, but we need another card that destroys a lot of creatures at one time.
Maybe an option would be to have a card that kills one creature. However it would be best to keep that card black. MAYBE Vengeful Dreams would work, is it 1.x though?
Vengeful Dreams: WW
Discard X cards
Remove X attacking creatures from game
On another note - this deck is surprisingly strong. I have had very consistent good draws with it. The Urborg and Quirion Elves really help with the splash of black and white.

Another question - if you get the cards in 9th edition, are they T2 legal?
EDIT: For now, I'm using Kirtar's Desire. Only problem is I need 7 cards in graveyard. I still need an idea for a destruction card. |

| Any cards that are in the 9th edition set or at this time Kamigawa block or ravnica block are legal. This includes all earlier versions of any cards printed in the t2 sets. Hope that helps. Also, consider the new duals and the painlands for your manabase when you get to experimenting with that stuff. As for needing a creature, why nut run a few of the indestructible creatures from Mirrodin block, that should do what you need and would work fine with Wrath. |

don't you mean kirtar's wrath? it destroyes everything then gives you 2 white flying spirit tokens if you have threshold... plus since you added the urborg elf why don't you use thirst for knowledge to put cards into graveyard for the wrath...
just my thoughts. |
