new owl

just messing around and ended up throwing this together b/c i wnated to try something different, and i actually like the way it is working out:

3 recollect
4 exhaustion
4 remand
4 mana leak
4 boomerang
4 vision skeins
3 kami of howling mine
12 island
4 breeding pool
4 yavimaya coast
1 oboro
1 mikokoro

sb:
4 time ebb
4 shadow of doubt
3 traumatize
4 millstone

basically, game 2, i just take out the owls and put in the millstones (pending what im playing) b/c everyone wants to get rid of the owl game 2 obviously, and i just stall/mill... it has worked rather effectively so far, ESPECIALLY vs control, for obvious reasons... comments, suggestions, flames, i dont care, throw it at me

my suggestion, give up on owl, its an aggro format

The deck you built is very bad right now, it may get better if aggro is a lesser contender post regonals. You have NO GAME WHATSOEVER against aggro (exhaust them 3 times? good luck) and even in the control a well timed counterspell into threat can be bad for you. I have a serious version of owl i'd like to post and get feedback on (sorry i dont know the cardnames yet)...

This build seems fine. I am wondering about the b/w hand in hand matchup the most because it will be the most heavily played deck at regonals for sure. I think it seems like an ok matchup if they dont get the shoals and castigates. I wanted to include wildfire but the deck cannot support it atm. Any comments...?

i never said anything it being competitive, the recurring exhaustion is fun, vs anything... i figured i'd try out a different color, rather than red for a change, just to see what would happen, and its rather fun....

Only 2 sudden impacts? That's a HUGE mistake. I've been killed by sudden impact far more often than the owl itself.

that is a luck based answer, it is very hard to get 3 exhaustions in a row... ty for talking about something that matters though.....idiots
