| Yeah I never wanted to say anything because I thought it would encourage cheating but the old ML anti was crap. Eaglewolf posted how to circumvent it almost as soon as it came out and it wasn't exactly rocket science. Now we have a real solution to cheating for the first time in M-L history. Sooooo Sweet. Now it's GG cheaters. |

How about keeping it on the down-low?
There will never be a program able to stop all cheaters. There's always someone out there who will work out a way to fool the anti-cheat program.
It's pathetic that people actually spend time figuring things like this out instead of spending that same time practicing at Magic to become a better player...but oh well. Personally, I'd rather lose 10 out of 10 games I play and not cheat than win 10 out of 10 by cheating. |

look guys other than PG wins alot there's not really evidence that he cheats not any ive seen anyways. I think he is just a good player. and if you come up with a way to get around the new program u need to e-mail laplie so that we can change ml-anti to help stop cheating.
Peace,

Um where do you get this from. If TomB is a notorious cheater why is his rating in the 1500's? How did pG supposedly get a link to the New ML-Anti before it was online? I think TomB was just gassing you up and everyone knows pG is just a troll now who comes on the chat to create controversy from time to time. I think you've been trolled. |

Actually, they thought they did, but didn't. They thought they could simply alter the packets that mlanti sends.
However, malformed packets aren't accepted and the data is also checksummed at the end. So changing it is not easy without knowing the specific way it is checksummed (which only me and koen knows).
I'm not saying the program is uncrackable. Nothing is. Even companies which spend tens of thousands of dollars protecting their software have them cracked. (NO-CD cracks come out for games basically the day it comes out).
However, mlanti 2 should stop all "hobby" crackers. And if it is cracked, upgrading to a new version should be really simple since we can simple stop accepting data from older versions whenever we want. |
