For Index
Pros:
Sets up for turn 2 bounce, turn 3 ld, ect....you get the cycle more consistant
Helps you dig for your vore/clasm/wildfire mid game faster
Helps you line up the compulsive.
Digs for the land after wildfire goes off
Cons.
Card advantage
Cant get ride of usless cards.
For Sleight
Pros.
Card Advantage
Gets ride of a bad card
makes one land hands more play able(same goes for index though)
Cons:
You might need both the cards you hit
It only digs 2 cards down.
Looking at the pros and cons, index seems like the better choice. both are sorceries so no problems there. what do you think? |

| Sleight is better because it replaces itself. If you run out of gas, your dead. The deck is set up to be as consistent as possible so seeing an extra two cards is not really worth a card from your hand. Consider that card in your hand will eventually trade for one of their lands. The deck is consistent enough it doesn't require something like Index but does require gas in hand to keep them off their game long enough. |

your not guranteed what your going to see. It could be 2 cards you need and it could be 2 cards that you really didnt want to see. If you need the pyro on turn 3 and sleight doesnt show it, your kinda out of luck. plus vore is a deck that rarly has card advantage. unless you tidings or complusive and chuck a land, they will have more cards in hand than you. if they dont, your not winning the game. |

| It isn't even close. Index isn't even playable in Limited. It does nothing. Sleight is a really good card. It's probably the 2nd best U cantrip in Magic (behind Brainstorm). |

I can think of several better U cantrips, serum visions, opt, and anscestrall recall obvs.
Yea Sleight is way better than Index, play it. |

sleight of hand makes the whole deck work, it basically makes the deck more consistent by hitting the right lands on turn 2. if i am on the draw i will keep a 1 land hand if i can cast sleight first turn, most aggro decks cant do that.
tbh i dont any cantrip is better than ancestral recall |

as long as we call recall a cantrip, i guess i'll have to win the argument with basically the awesomest card ever: (READ: for real this time!)
