Is it really consistent? I see 23 lands with two 6 drops, four 5 drops and 7 4 drops.

Don't you get mana screwed every other game?

yea i agree u need atleast 24 lands or lower your mana curve. another note first list i seen to add grave titan, i like it.

another question i see lists with the swords in them, are they really needed?

and if so what match do they come in handy against?

i would assume only control decks really, i would assume most other matches its more about getting your army of tokens out to swarm them...

just some thoughts...

This list is bad, oonly 3 virtues? No midnight haunting? No snap caster? Only 3 lingering souls?

well snapcaster is blue and this is a BW list, so unless he adds blue no need for it.

and personally i think it should stay a BW list.

but i agree you should adjust a little bit, but not a bad start...

here is the list i been tinkering with, and after seeing your list i added the grave titans over the splicers i had...

Creatures
4 Doomed Traveler
4 Hero of Bladehold
2 grave titan

Spells
4 Midnight Haunting
4 Lingering Souls
2 doom blade
2 go for the throat
2 oblivion ring
1 white sun's zenith

Artifacts
2 Shrine of Loyal Legions

Planeswalkers
4 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
2 Elspeth Tirel
4 Intangible Virtue

Lands 24
12 Plains
4 Swamps
4 Isolated Chapel
4 Vault of the Archangel

Sideboard
2 Day of Judgement
2 Oblivion Ring
2 White Sun's Zenith
2 Doomblade
2 Dismember
2 Timely Reinforcement
1 Gideon Jura
2 Gather the Townfolk

TBH i didnt even look at the land in your deck....

i feel stupid now. anyways yea if you are adding blue in the manabase you should think about snapcaster over the splicer's imo, because then you can bring back those lingering souls and or gather the townsfolk or whatever...

but just an opinion i think i would atleast try...

if i run blue, i'd rather run geist of saint traft than snapcaster...
also, as i'd be trying to swarm my opponents, i'd change GFTT and DB for nevermore. before you troll at me read: the only creature i'd fear is elesh norn (well, also massacre wurm, but it isn't consistently played). you can either name elesh to nevermore, or unburial rites if facing solar flare or birthing pod if a pod deck shows up. and think, the thing i'd fear the most is ratchet bomb, so i'd always name it. also there's little to zero enchantment hate played right now. and you can always call something, no matter the deck you face: whipflare, BSZ, DoJ, tezzeret, olivia voldaren (which is also a nightmare)... lots of ugly things. i know this might sound as a johnny tech, and probably is, but i also think that if nevermore fits in any deck it is this one.

starting from JA0 deck:
-2 doom blade, -2 GFTT, -2 shrines, -1 sorin, +4 nevermore, +2 timely reinforcements (main objective is life, tokens are a plus), +1 oblivion ring

i like your idea about the nevermore, just wondering if its better suited as a SB card though...

ill have to test it, another question you think the shrines are worth removing completely?

The shrines are all you got against control, really. I'd up them to 4.

// Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)

// Lands
3 [M12] Plains (3)
7 [M12] Swamp (2)
10 [M12] Plains (2)
4 [ISD] Isolated Chapel

// Creatures
1 [MBS] Hero of Bladehold
4 [ISD] Doomed Traveler
1 [ISD] Geist-Honored Monk

// Spells
4 [M12] Oblivion Ring
3 [SOM] Elspeth Tirel
3 [DKA] Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
4 [NPH] Shrine of Loyal Legions
4 [DKA] Gather the Townsfolk
4 [ISD] Midnight Haunting
4 [DKA] Lingering Souls
4 [ISD] Intangible Virtue

// Sideboard
SB: 4 [SOM] Revoke Existence
SB: 3 [MBS] Go for the Throat
SB: 4 [ISD] Curse of Death's Hold
SB: 4 [ISD] Nevermore

Here's my contribution. I think you can run 3-4 planeswalkers of your choice and drop the one of creature, but both those creatures seem to be good one-ofs.

I upped the count of Shrines to 4 because this is all you have against control, really.

I'm using O-ring (over Dismember) so a MD Curse of Death isn't an autoloss.

I believe this is the correct build.

Jao: do you really need the blade splicers? If so, then take out the singleton grave titan and add in the 4th midnight haunting.

Also, I'd get rid of either the vault or the ghost (or both).
