I'm sure we can all agree that the majority of cover songs are horrible in compairison to the original. However, evey once and a while, a cover comes out the is comperable or sometimes even better than the original. These are a few that come to mind for me:

Disturbed- Genesis's "Land of Confusion"
Killswitch Engage- Dio's "Holy Diver"
Evanescence- Soul Embraced's "My Tourniquet"

I was just wondering what you guys thought some other good covers are.

Godsmack - "Good Times, Bad Times" by Led Zeppelin
Metallica - "Turn the Page" by Bob Seger
Atreyu - "You Give Love a Bad Name" by Bon Jovi

Not saying I like these better than the originals, but they are done well.

Jesus Does'nt want me for his sunbeam (Nirvana) Orignally by the vaselines

All along the Watch Tower (Jimi Hendrix Experience) Origanlly by Bob Dylan Its worth noting that pretty much every song Hendrix ever did a cover of was better than the orignal.

Sorry I gotta say Disturbed's Land of Confusion is soooo much better than Genesis's however I do tend to like my music a little harder so to each his own I guess.
