Where the hell is Incinerate?? And you really think 21 lands is enough if you're planning to retrace Flame Jab?

In a deck like this, where the point is to deal 20 damage as fast as possible, incinerate is much better than lash out. Lash out is better at clearing blockers for big creatures. Flame Jab is also very bad. Replace it with tattermunge maniac. Also remove gargadon and ram gang for 4 mutavault and 3 shock. Then remove 1 mountain and 2 keldon megaliths for 3 Countryside Crusher.

remove figure of destiny. It's too slow for what this deck wants to do. Put in tattermunge maniac instead. Also as has been said lashout should be incinerate. Btw flame jab is never a 4 of. The point of the card is to dump lands drawn turn 5 onwards, however there is no urgent enough need to do that to reduce the overall damage the deck can do. Change it to no more than a 2 of so that you have a chance of drawing it but the fates have to hate you to give you both. Other changes to accelerate this deck should be made to, such as including tarfire, but that becomes more personal preference

why would u play maniac over figure of destiny? maniac is strictly worse it just gets chumpblocked and killed by anything where figure is really good late game. how is it slow, you dont need to activate it.

the best form of RDW is a version with reusable damage outlets. What i mean by this, is that keldon maraduers and tattermunge maniac are not good because they are only optimal on turns 1 and 2. cards such as figure of destiny and magus of the scroll post potential long term threats. magus of the moon is also very good because it cripples several decks mana bases. incinerate is better than lash out at the moment because some decks play larger creatures that lash out will not kill and some decks play untargetable creatures which makes lash out a dead card. demigod of revenge is a very good finisher. the japanese players figured this out so you should model from their decks.

p.s. - the japanese RDW is less succeptable to life gain and dmg prevention

maniac is never better than figure of destiny, they both cost 1 mana to play then you pay 1 more on turn 2 for figure and its already better than maniac and doesnt die to bitterblossom tokens, and late game its a lot better.

Maniac is good, but Figure is googleplex better. First off Figure if good no matter what point of the match it is in, by turn 2 if you don't have a drop you can always boost it and if you play shock, have that mana up incase of anything stupid being played.

Maniac just deals two damage. Figure can deal more than two damage.

Maniac Can't block. Figure Can block.

Maniac can be blocked by an elf and die. Figure can be blocked by an elf and win.

Maniac can be caltropsed. Figure cannot.

If you draw Maniac late game, it will suck, if you draw figure late game you have a threat.

I would want everyone to argue my points, everything aside the caltrops one... that was just funny, yet true. If anyone cannot give good arguments to this, they are to be ignored for the rest of the threads existence.

But Daveslusher- can slide, due to he is a formal retard. Smile

For maniac to be better than figure, rdw would need a load of relevant 2 drops it has next to none as most versions dont play maruaders or the token making goblin i for the life of me cant remember the name of, blood knight is the only real one. Then you would have a plausible argument on the grounds of needing to curve out but you dont have that argument and even if you did the overall greater powerlevel of figure of destinity makes it clearly the better choice even with this consideration.
