Ok i dont know if its the worst Card ever but Common Cause was pritty effin bad It basically reads, if every creature (including your opponents) is the same color they all get +2/+2 (again including Your opponents), if not sucks to be you b/c you just wasted 2 mana on this enchantment that now does nothing.

On top of that i opened 1 in a MM pack it had a printing error where there was a big white mark across it and on top of that it got bent, got wet. then ended up being on the floor of my friends house for about a year b4 his dog i think finally ate it.

i hate that card

I'm suprised nobody has said Blinkmoth Infusion yet. Costs you 14 mana to untap ALL artifacts. That includes your opponent's artifacts. Sure it has affinity for artifacts, but if you have 12 artifacts in play that need to be untapped, you're in trouble.

Necro-Impotence is pretty damn bad, unless you've got say, avarice totem.

Haha.

Wow.

That's great.

Player 1: K... [taps 3 swamps, drops necro-impotence].
Player 2: Whassat? [looks at card, laughs.] You're dumb!
Player 1: Drops avarice totem
Player 2: huh?
Player 1: Switcheroo via Avarice Totem's Card Ruling
Player 2: Well, shit.

12/1/2004 It is possible to play this ability in response to itself and generate some odd combinations. For example, if you control this card and another permanent, you can use this card's ability and target the permanent you control. You can then use this card's ability again and target a permanent your opponent controls. The second usage resolves first and you get your opponent's permanent in exchange for this one. The first usage then resolves and swaps your other creature for the Totem so you get it back. The net effect is that you can swap any creature you have for any of theirs if you can pay this ability twice. Note that your opponent does get the chance to use the Infiltrator if they have the mana in between your two usages and can mess you up.

I like vigean hydropod. It better reads like this:

1GU: The next 5 creatures you play get a +1/+1 counter.

Farmstead is pretty good.

One with nothing is good for a hellbent/madness hand.

Compulsive research is good.

Epic struggle isn't that hard to do. Think of Supply!

I guess that Norin the Wary can be useful for "when a creature comes into play" effect, like on the essence or soul wardens.

Three cards come to mind.... Great Wall..... Sorrows Path.... and I'm surprised not to see anyone mention Carnival of Souls.

I am quite the expert on all things crap because I find horrid cards to be hysterical.

One With Nothing is overmentioned. It certainly has combo potential and while definitely in the bottom 50 or so, it isn't the worst card ever by a long shot.

Carnival of Souls is a definitely horrid card that I'm surprised didn't get sooner mention. The same applies for Snowfall, Melting and Wood Elemental. Farmstead, Great Wall and Sorrow's Path definitely are at the peak of the infamy list. Other good mentions: Apocalypse Chime, Break Open.

LIST OF SHITTY CARDS NO ONE HAS BROUGHT UP: (with an attempt to focus on rares because of the obvious wtf factor)

Phyrexian Tribute
Teferi's Isle
Rapid Decay
Razor Pendulum
Goblin Game (Jesus H how was this ever printed)
Mishra's Groundbreaker
Security Detail
Shelkin Brownie
North Star
Kasimir The Lone Wolf
Aladdin's Lamp
Merchant Ship (wow)
Chance Encounter (WAY worse than the others)
Acidic Dagger
Ice Cauldron (I'm still not sure what this card does, but it's bad.)

AND POSSIBLY THE MOST OVERLOOKED BAD CARD SO FAR:

Didgeridoo.
