Why would Everlasting Torment matter?
Stuffy Doll deck loses to Nameless Inversion, Peppersmoke, Sudden Death, Profane Command, Temporal Isolation, Oblivion Ring, Crib Swap, Story Circle, Rune Snag, Cryptic Command, Spellstutter Sprite, anything with trample or flying as well as Sower of Temptation.
Those are way too popular spells for the deck to work.
But it is funny and unusual - even Snow Red does not go for the Stuffy Doll synergy. I think that if you run a lot of Sulfurous Blast, Firespout and Molten Disaster plus Skred and Incinerate - and the rest of the deck is about getting Stuffy Doll out early enough PLUS getting it back multiple times (graveyard recursion, blink, etc) - then Stuffy Doll could work.
If not, then you clean the board a couple of times, play Stuffy Doll - then they kill it and you die. |

What would your version of a stuffy doll deck look like? |

| Any other suggestions besides the ones you gave? I will try and post a stuffy deck soon. It's such an unusual deck. |

| Do Academy ruins, resurrection, dread return work? Are there more efficient things that have profane-esque abilities because it would cost 7 to bring it back. |

| Maybe something to give it shroud or put counters in there may help. But it's hard to do that without wasting too much valuable deck space. |

Here's a decklist I scratched out. Seems like it may work, but I'm not sure since I'm still working on it. Anyway tell me what you think:
4 Phyrexian Ironfoot
3 Spitebellow
4 Stuffy Doll
4 Birds of Paradise
2 Shivan Meteor
4 Coldsteel Heart
2 Prismatic Omen
3 Incinerate
3 Sulfurous Blast
3 Lure (?) (if not that then maybe firespout or disintegrate)
4 Skred
2 Scrying Sheets
2 Grove of the Burnwillows
3 Karplusan Forest
2 Fungal Reaches*
2 Reflecting Pool
6 Snow-covered mountain
4 Snow-covered forest
2 Academy Ruins*
1 Vivid Grove*
1 Vivid Crag*
sb:
4 guttural response
3 faerie macabre
2 rebuff the wicked*
3 vexing shusher
3 eyes of the wisent
*Debatable cards
Like I said I'm still tinkering with it. I'm not sure about lure....I kind of want to have a backup plan in case I can't pull stuffy. I was contemplating putting in a primal command or two to find the stuffy, but I still need ways to "tutor" him up. |

| ok IMO you dont need that many non-basic lands for the deck. kinda takes away from skred and that is a big hitter to your doll and to a lot of other creatures. also lash outs for incinerates. dont think prismatic omen is needed at all. and honestly dont see the reason for green in this build at all except for the firesprout to hit the groud. which you can still get green out of the coldsteel hearts. so im not sure green is the right way to go. it just seems like you wanted green in there so bad and it just didnt happen in that list. if you go green run into the north and the R/G snow dual. not BoP since you have so much board sweep. also green would be good to keep for the SB like canopy claws and stuff like that. |

No, I'm not determined to have green in there. I just thought some acceleration with the BoPs would be nice to bring out the stuffy, but whatever works.
I think the big thing now is to find a way to get stuffy faster. Since most of the deck revolves around him, i need more ways to:
a. tutor him up (splash B for beseech the queen? maybe not...) primal?
b. have a backup plan in case he dies like what was stated in that one post. academy ruins, some form of shroud, return abilities in general. Maybe grim harvest***, or something like evolution charm. |

| I could also just make it mono red with rites of flame and coldsteel hearts for acceleration to get stuffy out. |
