| I dunno, graveborn muse almost seems better than phyrexian arena. It's arena on a 3/3 stick. Easier to get rid of via combat, and especially in a deck like this with 6 wrath of god. |

| if you're going to go the token route, try husk, spectral procession, sacred mesa, bitterblossom, or anything else that you can come up with. Then rite of consumption for a win condition. It's just a thought. You can use husk to get rid of muse if need be. BTW Arena isn't even in T2 anymore....they put muse in its place. |

Uhm, the fact that he is running 6 wrath is one of the main reasons Graveborn Muse would suck in his deck. Why on earth would he want to get rid of it? It is his draw card! The life loss is of no consequence if the deck is properly built. You haven't lost until you are at 0 life, and life count doesn't win you the game.
btw, Phyrexian Arena is in an entirely different league than Graveborn Muse. A 3/3 creature will be killed all day long, and it is very unlikely that its controller would get to draw a single card with it. That is why it isn't played. Phyrexian Arena is among the best draw cards in black that is not banned/restricted. |

| Children of Korlis isn't a good card. if they kill it at end of your turn it does nothing. Take it out for the 4th Coalition Relic and the 24th land: the third Vivid Meadow. |

Also, your sideboard should improve the matchups that you struggle with, not those you already crush. Your maindeck should kill aggro.
Faeries, Merfolk and other aggro-control decks will have no trouble beating you, I think. Against them, more defense is less efficient. You must kill Bitterblossom, and Wispmare is efficient at doing that plus sometimes providing a flying blocker. Black provides discard, but Thoughtseize isn't very efficient unless you can profit on the card they lose by seizing the tempo. BW control will never do that. However, there is Mind Shatter. Extirpate is good vs Reveillark combo. Crovax is good vs Faeries and aids Sacred Mesa. Perhaps additional instant creature removal vs all those manlands. Terror, Crib Swap, Condemn comes to mind.
If Storm decks are popular in your area, Rule of Law may prove useful against them. |

ok the deck plays well only when it resolves a turn 4 wrath because its relatively slow. Your right, it does well against rg aggro and pretty good against most doran builds. Has trouble with trample early game like treetop village...shriekmaw needs flash
So i was wondering if anyone else has even tested this deck and has seen speed as any sort of problem? |

| BW just always brings to mind 2 cards: Bitterblossom and Spectral Procession. Lets just see if Eventide brings some BW fixer more to the deck. |

i agree i do look forward to see what eventide has to bring...(hopefully something as effective as ghost council was)
Notes...Oona Queen of the Fae is awesome against most merfolk if it resolves. Not only is it bigger than all their creatures cause all their merrow reejery bull is damnated, everything is basically blue, owned...
Faeries...at this point still scoop unless you can control the pumps and find a crovax |

| I think you need slaughter pact either main/board or a combination of the 2 for killing magus of the moon |

Ya, I think you may be on to something cool in the works, but to see its full potential, keep this on the back burner and wait til July and Eventide to see the BW avatar the BW mana fixer and the other BW stuff to see if it will help you. I'm almost positive it will. Just don't want you to stress out and spin your wheels when the best of your deck may be yet to come. Til then, keep on brainstorming those ideas and checkout the spoiler when it becomes available.
PEACE!! |
