I've been trying to come up with a good solid blue control deck that would be competitive at FNM. I have yet to put together a deck, or find a theme, but I have few cards that should definately go in there.
-teferi
-venser
-sower of temptation
-rune snag
-cryptic command (must have)
-ancestral visions
-riftwing cloudskate
-mind stone
I know I'm probably missing some big ones.....
Any advice/help/suggestions are welcome. |

| Ah, good call. Negate may be useful too. Cancel.....maybe not so much. I think that with a deck like that I need a big finisher creatures and some I can play relatively early to mid game to do damage. Guile maybe? Other thoughts? |

I'm going to have to say no to all creatures on that list except for maybe Arcanis.
Look up Guile or maybe Razormane Masticore. |

| Denizen of the Deep and Guile would be the best choices if you wanted a big beater since u won't have many/any creatures to return to your hand if you play denizen which makes it extremely good mana cost to p/t. |

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with both of you guys. As I was looking through I only liked Denizen, Arcanis, and Guile.
Does anyone think a mono blue control could work? |

| I'd consider Teferi and Guile. |

| Have you considered Tidewalker? It doesn't have the same benefit as Guile, but at the same time you could cast Guile it would be a 6/6 for three mana. Seems like it might be a decent finisher for a blue control deck. |

Problem with Blue Control is that faeries and merfolk walk all over it, literally in the case of merfolk . If faeries resolves a bitterblossom you more or less lose unless you have desert, and even then if they find scion it's still game over. Don't really think it's a great enviornment for cotntrol at the moment. |
