agreed. The deck is ok, but it's more the pilot than anything.
He wanted a good matchup vs 1/3rd of the meta and got it. 4 thresther main is a house, and makes it 7 with manikin.
Oona is a house. |

| Each pilot is playing a slightly different list. Bucher's deck has one less Command and one more Pact, wafo-tapa has thresher in the board, etc. |

| funny as PV make top-8 being the only faeries doing so, and Wafo-tapa just fall apart on day 2, because people knew how to play against it, but the deck make am impressive day 1 because of the pilots (not only wafo-tapa is a good player, bucher, and the ruel brothers are very skilled ones as well) and this deck will be like DS make a awsome debut (thougth DS put 2 guys on top-8 and quick-n toast didnt put any 1 on it) and them would "dissapear" because without the surprise element is weaker |

| i'm tapionminoshi on youtube, so i was the person who originally listed the deck there that has been copied to here. i was wrong about fire-lit thicket, it was actually the UB dual. it had glare on it the entire deck tech and it was hard to see >_< |

| Just like i said, quicken toast loses the further it gets. Its complete suprise day 1 falls under after that. |

There were what, three people running it?

Wafo Tapa's SB looked like this:
1x Cloudthresher
1x Shriekmaw
1x Detritivore
1x Murderous Redcap
3x Wispmare
3x Mind Shatter
3x Teferi's Moat
2x Primal Command |

I'm bumping this thread because I'm interested in playing this deck at regionals. Why do you think this deck is bad if people are prepared for it? What changes would you make? It especially seems like a lot of the sideboard cards are flexible, and you could move the deck closer to something like BUG Mannequin. What I want to nail down for my regionals deck is a deck with-
at least 4 finks and 3 primal command between main and side for red decks
can at least go 50/50 vs. faeries
has a decent end-game vs. Reveillark
I expect Reveillark to make a resurgence...I thought about going LD in bug mannequin with fulminator mage and primal command and other things against 'lark, but I think just having your own counterspells might be a better idea.
What do you guys think about this deck? What are its weaknesses? It seems like it would have problems with a resolved Chameleon Colossus or Oversoul of Dusk. How good does the sideboard look? I'm expecting BG Elves to make a comeback too, so I was wondering what you think of that matchup. |
