Basically the deck revolves around grinning ignus, Playing ignus then bouncing and playing ignus and playing a storm card,
Or using ignus to pump up Goliath then tossing it with Stoutarm

Your deck would fall flat on its face vs. counters, because your spell gets countered, doesn't add for storm, and then you exhausted mana for no reason.
Any red deck needs rites of flame, especially yours. It gives you one free mana, and then some depending on how many there are in your graveyard. Also, sideboard guttural response - it rips counters apart-, magus of the moon, pyroclasm, and take a look at rift bolt.

Plus there are too many expensive creatures in your deck, mana wise and not enough useful spells. Your spells leave you with one mana less than it cost you to play it, when it should end up the other way around. The spirit guide is good for that (i dont know why people dont see his good potential being up to 4 free red mana turn one, and more with rites).

Actually, storm counts how many spells that have been played, not how many that have resolved, so if a spell of his gets countered, that would add two to the storm count, not 0.
And yes, rite of flames would suit the deck, and manamorphoses are free storm counts.

Storm>counterspells. See previous post.

Rite of Flames is useless in most red decks. But it works really well with storm.

Guttural Response is not a bad idea.

Simian Spirit Guide does not add to storm count.

Grinning Ignus helps storm count and is a win condition. Same with Coal Stoker. But Thermopod, Hamletback Goliath, Simian Spirit Guide and Soulbright Flamekin are all poor choices for this deck.

4 Storm Entity
4 Mogg Fanatic

3 Chromatic Star

4 Manamorphose
4 Rite of Flame
4 Ponder
4 Ancestral Vision
4 Grapeshot
4 Rift Bolt
4 Empty the Warrens

4 Gemstone Mine
4 Shivan Reef
13 Mountain

What about something like this?

Why not play pyromancers swath? if you can play grapeshot it is 3 per spell=WIN, and cloudkey set to creature is an infinite storm w/ignus

My list would look like this,

4 Grinning Ignus

4 Rift Bolt
4 Grapeshot
4 Pyromancers Swath
4 Manamorphose
4 Rite of Flame
4 Chromatic Star
4 Cloudkey (Creature)(or in a pinch sorcery)
2 Empty the Warrens
2 Ignite Memories

4 Molten Slagheap
4 Fungal Reaches
16 Mountain

if you use cloud key + ignus, you need manaforge cinder to funnel into red mana.

Even with manaforge cinder you can't go infinite. You can only use that ability 3 times.

I'd rather use those eight slots for something else. Manamorphose, for one.
