|
|
I saw this on a different forum and i thought i might pass on the info. I think Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir may be the answer to faeries. Reasons why?
1.) Stops faeries from playing spells during your turn which they are notorious for
2.) Stops their suspended cards e.i. if they are playing ancestral vision
Teferi i think is mainly for the first reason because no beginning of turn mistbind clique, rune snags, cryptic commands, etc.. it makes them tap out during their turn giving you a chance to counter them possibly. Only problem is trying to get him resolved so have in store some counters for their counters. I also noticed that Teferi is a Human [Wizard] so you can use stonybrook banneret to make him UUU which is rediculous
Thoughts? |

what deck wants to play teferi?
i like the idea, but there is still the problem of bitterblossom turn two and also the whole thing about the first 5 turns.... |

Teferi helps, but it does not stop faeries from doing what they want to do, but if you are set on teferi, cast in response to a clique/end of turn faerie.
Like what has been said, what deck uses teferi, there is just not a viable strategy for him now...
Mono U erfolk cound make a run at it, giving them what they love most, flash creatures and counters, seems Win, Win... |

| The way to stop Faeries is to wait until Lorwyn rotates out of Standard. Good luck. |

| I know speed may be the problem so I was going to put him in my merfolk deck. Try to rune snag a Turn 2 bitterblossom. Turn 3 cursecatcher+banneret and hope to play him turn 4 and sac the cursecatcher to counter if they counter me playing him. |

| well here's the solution to faeries- offer free thoughtseizes to all people who run faeries. and then when you have them rounded up, knock them out, burn their cards, and get the hell outta there. idk, something like that.... |

| Teferi+ merrow rejeerey= tap them out. Play merfolk spells during their turn and tap their lands or threats out. I don't know about merfolk tech but that has to be one of them if u can pull it off. |

Raking Canopy>Faeries
Rune Snag>Raking Canopy
Vexing Shusher>Rune Snag
cancel out left and right
vexing shusher>faeries? probably not however a deck running shushers as well as sb canopies should have a favourable matchup |

| Wouldn't it help my matchup or would it hinder it? I thought teferi would be another safe guard against faerie decks. I would sideboard him for game 2 if i knew i wasn't faster for some reason instead of sowers. |
