the deck im currently building is the second deck. just dont have the ability to play on here, waaaay to busy. I think this looks pretty amazing, getting the pieces together for it right now

here is the original list i drew up and played

4x tattermunge maniac
4x mogg fanatic
4x bramblewood paragon
4x tarmogoyf
4x boggart ram gang
2x tatturmunge liege
2x shard volley
4x tarfire
4x incinerate
4x riftbolt
4x flame javelin
4x fire-lit thicket
4x karplusion forest
2x treetop village
1x forest
9x mountain

it ran very well, ive came into alot of issues with dragon claw and bitterblossum can be a problem if they have enough time to lay down a clique, so i figured what the deck needed was a little more semi evasion to kind of get over the hump. id rather focus my burn on them and not the 1/1s. so the answer in red or green to this situation is trample. with the addition of kavu predator, this helped out quite a bit, but because of how many solid colored creatures there are, the lieges just didnt perform the way i hoped they would. so i just looked back old school to see what those guys were doing, and david price gave me my answer. ball lightning was amazing, plain and simple. i understand that groundbreaker is what ball lightning was supposed to be, so i figured since we were in green anyway, and a dead gemstone mine build up tarmogoyf, why not give it a shot. heres the decklist

new list

4x tattermunge maniac
4x mogg fanatic
4x kavu predator
4x tarmogoyf
4x boggart ramgang
3x groundbreaker
1x shard volley
4x tarfire
4x riftbolt
4x incinerate
4x flame javelin
4x grove of the burnwillows
4x karplusion forest
4x firelit thicket
4x gemstone mine
1x pendlehaven
2x treetop village
1x mountain

At first i thought tattermunge maniac would be amazing, but i realized that there are too many 1/1's it trades with. I like intimidator initiate as it can sometimes allow you to go through with an unblocked groundbreaker.

groundbreaker and flame javelin in the same deck = not good.

Groundbreaker sucks vs Mogg Fanatic and red in general. It is very good vs sorcery-based removal, though, and so it is a good sb card vs non-blocking control decks relying on Wrath for defense.

But it needs to be heavily green, and your deck is mostly red. No-one plays Wrath-based decks anymore, not without expendable blockers anyway, and red is very popular. So in short Groundbreaker needs another meta to be good.

Bramblewood Paragon isn't good in that first deck. It is mostly a bear there.

Groundbreaker's problem is that monogreen decks don't have burn so they don't take full advantage of it.

I would take out the Rift Bolts. It's just so god damn clunky, and has zero versatility. Not to mention it's a just a weak first turn play. Hell, Shock would be better.

Don't listen to Jacois - how would it make sense to cut lightning bolt from a burn deck? I think the deck should be RR/g, just splashing for Tarmo, which is insane.
