Daveslusher-
That deck is so unfair.
I love sealed in this format even weak pools can sometimes have game. But not against a mean lean machine like that though.
I went 5-0 in my release today with a pretty weak GUr deck. Plumeveil was the MVP with firesprout and the five mana flash w/u faerie getting honorable mentions. |

I went 3-1-1 then cut to top 8 in my release with a sort of a u/w skies deck:
2x Silkbind Faerie - These guys enabled me to win the majority of my games.
2x Briarberry Cohort - 2/2 flyer for two mana? ysplz.
2x Wanderbrine Woodcutters - with almost everyone playing green these guys were all-stars all night.
1x Rune-Cervin Rider - not quite as good as if played in pure g/w, but he turns into a monster after dropping an elsewhere flask.
1x Watchwing Scarecrow - always a flyer, often with vigilance.
1x Faerie Swarm - was always at least a 4/4 in this deck... when i actually drew him (twice all night :/ ).
1x Swans of Bryn Argoll - I was unsure of this guy at first, but he turned out to be a major bomb. Aside from being 4 power through the air starting on turn 5, he actually won me a crucial match in round 5 by decking my opponent who kept mindlessly swinging into him with a Loamdragger Giant.
that was my offense, I also ended up with some great tricks and guys to clog the ground with while they went to work:
1x Consign to Dreams - almost always used to bounced green fat back to the top of my opponents library
1x Curse of Chains - removal. self explanatory.
1x Ballyknock Cohort - i would have liked to send him into the red zone more, but he worked better for dissuading attackers in close games.
1x Safehold Sentry - this guy is supergreat.
1x Parapet Watchers - this guy is supergreat.
2x Whimwader - 6/4 walls that kept many a treefolk, loamdragger, and wilt-leaf cavalier at home. Occasionally send into the red via scuttlemutt enablers.
The top 8 draft was ridiculously easy. I drafted r/b while everyone else either raredrafted or fought over g/w. multiple incremental blights and gloomlances galore. |

i HATE when people post decklists with comments next to each card.
like, dude, stfu! if u've got something to say (it's probably not worth saying anyway, but), type it after ur list so we can actually read the damn thing. |

turn to mist was uncutable because everyone i played against had soem form of a liege. Also its a very good combat trick for me |

| I had an extremely weak creature pool for my release event (most bomb-like card was Glen Elendra Liege...). I ended up going 3-2 with a U/B tempo/control build, and was ecstatic to get THAT record. My losses were to DoublePowerOfFire.dec and DemigodPlusCorruptPlusMidnightBansheeEqualsWin.dec =P |
