babyface actually made some good points in his last post; while I completely disagree with his choices, they are his choices and not mine. Sitting here and making fun of him isn't going to change anything.

babyface got a point. He wants to smoke, he smokes. It's just like when people drinks too much soda or eat too much fat. You increase your chance of getting diseases. It's like when people decides to be a potato couch and not exercise at all. It's like asking why do you drink too much coffee?

But, smoking is just a more harsh way of speeding up your death compared to consuming too much sugar, getting too much caffeine and storing too much cholesterol.

I smoke because it makes me look cool. And because Bill Hicks told me to.

I smoke cigarretes because i smoked weed. After i had to stop smoking weed i started to realise i am already adiccted to cigarretes.

Do i know its bad? Of course

Is it going to kill me, before i would normally? Probably

Do i Stop? No

Why? I dont want to

What i want to say, people start smoking for several reasons, and dont quit for other reasons. Who are you judging other people, what they do with their live. If you are enlightened and know exactly which way we all should live our lives, enlightened us. I would appreiciate to hear something.

its not that most people dont want to quit, its that they make up excuses of why they smoke and why they dont stop smoking. not saying you are one of these people but most people who smoke are ignorant of the fact that they're addicted. if it wasnt addictive no one would be doing it. people smoke for different reasons but they all make up excuses of why they continue to smoke. their addicted and dont want to give up their addiction. and how does you smoking weed make you smoke cigarettes the two arent related at all.

I smoke every once in a while when I drink. Fuck it, you only live once might as well enjoy it. You could spend your whole life not smoking, drinking, exercise all the time and then die in a car accident on your way to college graduation. Just like everything it's moderation, smoking two cigs a week isn't good for you but it isn't that bad either, and for the record I'd rather smoke a pack a day then be fat, an alcoholic, or a drug addict and if I had to choose I'd take a smoker in a second over any of those.

I am addicted thats for sure, thats why i started in the first place.

Well i smoked weed mixed with cigarretes(i smoked a lot, i didnt used a lot of cigarretes, but well i guess it was enough to get addicted). And i think that a lot of people would stop smoking if their wouldnt be addicted(i think i would too), but i dont want it enough to quit. And while i think its true that almost everyone would stop smoking if it wouldnt make you addicted, most of the people here behave like it would affect them in any way. In fact it doesnt, if someone wants to smoke, let them. Probably hes addicted and just dont want to quit, so what? Its his decision, we all know its not good for your health. I once was also an very heavy anti smoker(dont think thats good english), but well when i started to smoke myself, i started to see the other side. Generaly said, theres no good rational reason to start smoking, and theres no good rational reason to not stop smoking. But some people dont want to stop, because its stressfull, because their addicted. Thats how its for me. You can say man you got to stop, but you wont say anything new to me. Its a bit anoying for me hearing all the time the same things, makes me feel like my mom is talking to me Wink

edit: Dont underestimate legal drugs folks, Nicotean is a pretty heavy drug, as is Coffein. Just wanted to say that Wink

Also, on the quitting of smoking: it is all a matter of finding a reason that is strong enough to keep you from smoking. My reason for quit smoking was my daughter being asthmatic (sp?), and I didnot see myself smoking outside, in the winter etc, so I just quit at that moment and never looked back.

Furthermore, on the quitting of smoking:

Chantix is hands down the best aid to stop smoking. It is a prescription drug in America, it costs about $125 a month without insurance (you usually take it for 4 months and some insurance plans do cover it), and it has a very high success rate. You actually get to smoke all you want for the first week. The only major side effect is vivid dreaming.

You mean you decided to stop the unreadable trolling, and replace it with something people can actually understand?

Eating fast food 5 times a week and consuming a gallon of coke every day, is actually worse for your health than smoking (give ur not the 3packs-a-day-kind-of-guy). Smoking is just more frowned upon.
While health risks are considerable, if one quits before 30, they are actually very low. It's not a reason to pick up smoking, but statements like 'smoking makes u die 40 years earlier' are retarded. Some people even have a genetic abnormality causing them to produce an unusual high amount of T-cells, effectively making them almost immune to lung cancer.

Most people start smoking in high school because their friends do so. It looks cool to 12-16 year olds. You try it, don't feel addicted, so u continue until you actually are addicted. Also it feels great to have a smoke with a beer, or to smoke after diner. It's also a social act, it can be a good way to meet women (they ask for a light, or u start talking while ur both smoking outside somewhere). Not to mention that in a lot of companies the decisions are made during the smoke break in the designated room.

Smoking is something that looks cool to the uninformed. Even at 12, it is not that hard to get the right information about the dangers of smoking/drinking/junkfood etc. Problem is that lots of people at that age are (logically) not interested in bad news, since at that age you don't think about death and dying, let alone dying because of your behaviour.
If you consider yourself well informed, and still are smoking, you are just stupid.
