When you tap 4 untapped merfolk and it is on the stack, can you tap another 4 creatures for the same ability?

for the purpose of tapping more

I could be totally wrong here, but if you have 8 merfolk in play already, shouldn't you be um, killing your opponent instead?

If you produce that many tokens, and mainly stay alive because of lifegain, you should have some sort of finisher card in there. Like Coat of Arms or even Shared Animosity.

You can't because its the cost of the ability.

tard, like 3 people gave the RIGHT answer, and the topic of discussion shifted completely, before you came in here with the wrong answer. -.-;

The fact that it's the cost of the ability is WHY it works

You pay the cost, the effect goes on the stack, YOU PAY THE COST AGAIN.

Now go away. grown ups, talking, etc
