Ok so I've been out of the game for about two years now and my amazing Ravnica deck is not legal anymore I guess, so I need a new deck. Now at the moment I don't have the time to sit down and look at all the new cards or anything, I've got a nice Coldsnap deck don't know if thats still legal but I want to get into the new sets, don't know what they're called yet. So can someone help me out, I like green/white or green, low-cost creatures that still pack a punch, maybe a couple high cost creatures if I have to, I like the idea of life gain but its not needed. So if you can post your best green/white or green decks here or send me an email, go.raiders13@gmail.com, I can make some mods if I need to, I'm not on a budget so I'll probably by the cards single not packs or anything, just because I'm some sort of noob at the moment doesn't mean I want you to trick me into buying some sucky preconstructed deck BS!
Also this is my first post here on this site so if I broke any rules or anything let me know so I don't make anymore mistakes. |

| Look at the deck section here. The top 3,4 decks of a tournament should be good. |

| Harbinger costs 3. There are lots of other 3cc cards in BR goblins that are way better. Maybe more Rogues for Earwig Squad instead. |

| I don't understand why I would need to cut Harbinger to get extra rogues for Earwig Squad all my creatures are goblins and the prowl text clearly states Goblin or Rogue so that doesn't make sense. With Harbinger in my deck I can get any card in my deck besides incinerate so why is this bad. So please explain what your trying to say because it makes no sense at all. I think the only thing I'm lacking is some Boggart Birth Rites but when I have Wort out its like a continuous birth rite plus a 3/3 with fear. Vedrfolner please explain yourself. Does anyone that knows what they are talking about have any feedback for me. |

You're right about the Prowl rules. My bad. In any case, Harbinger isn't a bad card. It does what you think it does and that is fine. There are just that many other 3cc (and 4/2cc) goblins available that are better.
Mogg War-Marshall
Mudbutton Torchrunner
more Earwig Squad
more SGC
more Wort
more Mauler
Greater Gargadon (not a goblin, but should be in the deck)
Marsh Flitter
The bottom point is: even though Harbinger gets you any card you want in the deck, it does so with a turn's delay and with a 2/1 body for 3 mana. You cannot play it if you need another mana the next turn. You shouldn't play it if you are on the defense. |

| thankyou for your feedback and sorry I was rude in my last reply. I would like to try Greater Gargadon but my question on that is if I sacrifice a fanatic or another goblin for the siege-gang commander can I use the effects of the cards and remove a counter from greater gargadon. |

no.
Everything before the colon in an activated ability is a cost. The cost needs to be paid for the ability to be put on stack.
When you sacrifice Fanatic, the creature is gone. You cannot respond to that. The same goes for Gargadon.
So you can Trickbind the gargadon's ability so that it doesn't get to remove a counter, but the creature is already gone by then.
If you have a Grave Pact in play, and sacrifice Mogg Fanatic targeting one of two Birds of Paradise controlled by the opponent, Grave Pact triggers and will go on stack on top of Fanatic's ability. The opponent may sacrifice the targeted creature if he wants to, and the other one lives. |
