So, I've been having very good results with this deck, and thought I'd share it.
4 Reveillark
4 Avalanche riders
4 Siege Gang Commander
3 Aven riftwatcher
3 Greater Gargadon
4 Momentary blink
4 Boom/bust
3 Wrath of god
2 Pyroclasm
3 Mind Stone
2 Prismatic Lens
4 Flagstones of Trokair
3 Terramorphic expanse
4 Battlefield forge
1 Shivan reef
1 Island
5 Plains
6 Mountain
sb:
4 Cryoclasm
3 Sulfurous Blast
3 Wispmare
2 Stonecloaker
1 Aven Riftwatcher
1 Wrath of god
1 pyroclasm
This deck has a great matchup vs uw blink, and a good matchup vs ramp. Game 1 vs faeries is tough but the sulf blasts and wispmares make 2 and 3 a lot easier. The deck is full of good combos, pretty fun to play, and is capable of some degenerate mana denial. If you're a player who was sad to see stone rain leave the base set, you should give this deck a try. Constructive criticism greatly appreciated. |

| I dont see how this is good vs blink, it doesnt have any card draw and its not as if 8 ld spells is anywhere near enough to consistantly hammper an opponent. Generally what mostly happens in blink mirrors is after a while you get a pair of revs staring each other down with no one wanting to attack because of body double and the first to draw mirror entity wins. This deck has no body double so your standard rev deck would be comfortably able to attack it. In short I find you claim this bests blink very dubious. |

As a suggestion, wouldn't Coldsteel Heart be superior to Prismatic Lens?
Edit: Also, I can believe this would have a strong game against u/w blink, although I haven't done any testing. In my experience, even bringing in Detrivore + Acid Moss can really mess with blinks mana base. This deck is running Avalanche Riders, Boom/Bust, Momentary Blink, and Reveilark. The goal of land destruction elements in the current t2 (in my experience) isn't to keep your opponent from getting started, it's to keep them from developing properly into the mid-game, and it seems like that's possible with this list. |

Out of about approximately 5 matches vs uw lark, I haven't dropped one yet with this deck. This is a small sample size, so I understand that it isn't statistical proof. Each game vs uw lark I feel like I'm in the driver's seat. Most builds don't have any cards outside venser (4 mana with double color) that can interfere with the land destrution, so I'm almost always able to cut off a color, or keep them at low mana. So my revs come out first, my riders chip away, and I usually armageddon to finish up the game. G2 and 3 are even easier with the cryoclasms.
i have no idea why i posted this in the casual section...sleepy last night i guess. |

i think u should cut mindstones for more lens/coldsteel hearts (mana fixing).
also the LD strategy is nice against UW lark deck...

i've been working on the same thign as you can see. Siege gangs a 1of so i can make infinate tokens at will. I'm considering dropping him for another entity at this point because frankly he isnt very good in the blink deck in general and he's very much win-more. If anyone doesn't understand why i play 1 entity it's because gargy is a combo outlet too(you just stack all the time counter removal activations.) I tried heavier red, but it just doesn't work. Also, blinking riders on singleton lands = win = - ) |

I have also been playing around with a reveil-riders deck. My list is very similar to yours, but I ended up cutting my gargadons for war marshals early on.
(22 dudes)
3 Mogg War Marshal
3 Aven Riftwatcher
4 Mulldrifter
4 Siege-Gang Commander
4 Avalanche Riders
4 Reveillark
(10 spells)
4 Wrath of God
3 Momentary Blink
3 Boom / Bust
(28 mana)
4 Coldsteel Heart
1 Prismatic Lens
3 Terramorphic Expanse
4 Battlefield Forge
2 Adarkar Wastes
2 Shivan Reef
1 Island
5 Mountain
6 Plains
My testing's been limited to MWS, but I think I might take this, or something similar, to FNM next time I go. |
