|
|
| On MMORPGs is very common to use software like Team Speak or Ventrilo and even Skype to Voice Chat. I wonder if we could set a VoiP (Voice Chat) server like we have mwsplay.net for Magic Workstation so we could talk instead of type. I think that will make game more interactive. What you think? |

| If we get enough attention with this thread maybe somebody will host a server. I can’t wait to hear all the clever magic insults that will become a standard. |

lets pretend somebody in this league knows how to do that...
adding in the 50% or more of this league as to where English is a second language, not to mention the fact that most of us can barely stand some idiots failure to type more like their horrible accents... yeah this is a retarded idea. |

No the idea is not retarded. If a person can't speak English its unlikely they will be able to write it either and vice versa. If a person has broken English then a conversation would be a bit difficult but playing a game of magic would be pretty simple. And it provides you with an additional way to gain information during a game.
For judges it wouldn't be as simple as look at the logs and see what's happening, but much like judges irl I'm sure they would deal. |

how about some people that are antive english speakers? do you really understand how much of the conversation will be white noise? It is quite hard (well, very hard to be honest) to get the relevant information, let alone point it out to other judges when you need consensus on something. We already have many people complaining about the time that is taken by making rulings, and this will only increase the amount of time it takes to get to the proper part of the logs.
